Yeah this has been a pretty good year for sports games......2K11, The Show 11, Fifa 11, NHL 11 are solid.

NCAA and Madden WAS solid before they over tuned and over patched it......They both are still pretty good, but not as good as before they started overdosing it with tuners and patches that didn't even correct the problem they were releasing it for.

In my perfect world.......This would be the ultimate football game.

Anyone who says OS was more lenient in the past doesn't remember BDoughty. No, he wouldn't ban you outright, but lots of strange and undesirable things would start happening to your account.

OS was a little more lenient, especially that you could get a few cards and not be permi-banned.

I'm actually surprised I've lasted past "The Decision" and pretty much 6 seasons in the NBA and CFB forum.

What is/was '"The Decision"'

Anyone who says OS was more lenient in the past doesn't remember BDoughty. No, he wouldn't ban you outright, but lots of strange and undesirable things would start happening to your account.

I've seen some of his posts when browsing some of the really old threads from way back before I joined. Him and some strange entity called UBBCode.

Things that bother me today:
People whining about a playoff every time there's a thread about the BCS title game.

We all want a playoff (well, a vast majority). We aren't getting one. No sense bitching about it over and over and over and over again.

He was the one of the only reasons I read the NBA section. All his posts seem so knowledgeable an well thought out. I enjoyed reading what he posted.

He went off on NASA. I didn't see the post but it seemed political in nature.

How do some of you guys last 6 or 8 or whatever years without ever slipping up?

Or was OS a more lenient place back in the day?

I've had 2 warnings but never celled. I try not to go over the line so i'm remarkably surprised that I've made it this long.

OS was more lenient in a sense but mods like bdoughty especially were really into the practical jokes and such.

I kinda miss that collegial immaturity at times.

Wow.....You have to be ****ing kidding me. Of all the people to ban, that is who's going to get banned? Wow.

OTOH, 2010 has been probably the best year for sports games with The Show, 2k11, NHL 11...all of those are arguably the best sports games in their genre ever.

For all the flack that EA, 2k and Sony take, they certainly listened and all made at least one amazing title this year.

I was thinking about this awhile ago and I agree. The last couple years felt like sports games were going absolutely nowhere, but now pretty much every game is playable. IMO Madden, and of course Live/Elite, are the only ones lacking behind the rest.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. I never really play baseball games.

I did try out the demo though and it didn't seem that bad to me.
