Today, i'll probably finish watching Week 13 1988 NYG/Saints. This is supposedly Lawrence Taylor's greatest game in Bill Parcells' mind.
There's also a few good films showing on TCM starting late this afternoon and into the night. We'll see how many of them I watch. I'll also take a peek at the NO/SF game as well.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

This morning I watched 1989 Week 2 Cowboys/Falcons
It's really interesting to see JJ's Cowboys in their embryonic stage. Actually they had a chance to win that game but they pissed it away and when they tried to come back Aikman made a bad INT as his predetermined receiver slipped and led to an easy ATL INT.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

1989 Week 4 NYG/Cowboys
Man....The 'boys were completely blown away. Aikman got injured early in the game and Steve Walsh came in. I had heard that Johnson contemplated keeping Walsh over Aikman after the '89 season. I....just don't see how that was possible. Maybe it was one of those "after the fact" rumors. It also shocked me how badly the Cowboys used Herschel Walker that year as kept making him run to the outside when his strength was north-south power running. He'd often have to spin around a lot and thus lose a lot of power in his running.
