Been wanting to upgrade to a SSD drive forever. Finally got this guy today. Same size as my current C: drive as I have many other drives for everything else. Good god is this thing fast. Granted I was using an acient HDD before (about 7 years old). That one took about 5-8 min from turn on to all startup applications being loaded in windows. Now it's no joke about 30 sec. Running apps from it is lighting fast as well. Just awesome.

Just picked up some Sony Bluetooth headphones: (MDR-XB950BT) since Jaybirds failed and needed some bluetooth headphones.

If your into songs with a lot of bass, wow these are great. Not the best for other genres but i got them soley to listen to hiphop/trap/house and they are great and are super comfy.

I got mine at Best Buy for $150. Pretty sure that's the standard price for that size on Amazon too. So worth it though. I dreaded having to reboot my PC for whatever reason lol. I probably won't install many games on it (have another dedicated hdd for that) but maybe a couple that take a lot of loading. OOTP Baseball for sure. But from when you see the windows splash screen to all startup apps fully loaded (and I have quite a few) it's about 45 sec. My old hdd read/write around 66mb/s. This bad boy nails 550mb/s easy. It's just insane the difference.

how does the HDMI converter hold up for you? especially for baseball, I had a fractional delay in response when I played which was crucial for baseball, but I bought cheap, which was probably my failure

I haven't gotten it yet (Amazon), but when I do I'll report back.

Update: The lag is definitely real. I played a quick game of Baylor vs Oklahoma (me) and had to quit in the 4th when I was losing 17-0. The janky controller didn't help, as it thought the left analog stick was stuck in the "right" direction.

Be careful with those memory cards. They easily get corrupted.

Coolant cap. Why is this significant? I very rarely order anything to be delivered because of an anxiety disorder. Being comfortable enough to answer the door for the USPS carrier is big for me, nice little sign of progress

I don't answer the door when I have something delivered, I just wait for the guy to drive away and then I pick it up off the porch.
