Re: I just want to hear some advice....
You have learned a valuable lesson early on: women are bat**** crazy and will constantly do things that dont make sense.
Don't sweat it, if she is going to be a bitch, **** her. Play it cool and act like you dont care, she will either be interested, or she wont be. Not much you can do about it. Just keep it movin.Comment

Re: I just want to hear some advice....
Man that is truth about if I knew what I know now. Just have fun and not trip about her. I bet if you do she will start tripping about you. Play it smooth, like you don't care. In fact make it look like you moved on. If that doesn't work, than it is her lost. I know when I was dating a girl in HS she dumped me. So I just went and dated her younger hotter sister. She was in 9th grade I was 12th. Talk about some fun times at her house during dinner time when the mom inviting me for dinner. I think that is because the mom had a crush on me too.Comment

Re: I just want to hear some advice....
In high school, I'd say have fun and don't get too caught up. Very rarely do you find "the one" in that small setting. It's not til college (or afterwards) that you learn enough about yourself to know what you really want in a girl.
I'm 30 now. Off all the couples that dated then at my high school, 2 are actually married. I'm actually teaching one of their kids.
Out of my high school class......about 1/4 of us are married and another 1/4 was married but got divorced after 4 years.Comment

Re: I just want to hear some advice....
Nah, man. There is no age limit for women. I've dated plenty of women over 26 and they are just as crazy as the ones under 26. Different issues, but issues nonetheless.
The biggest thing women like to do, no matter the age, is play games. I don't get it. Why can't a woman just be up front about things? Everything has to be a power struggle when I'm not even trying to fight for position here.
So I just move on. There is no time to waste by chasing a woman that wants to play games. There will be someone out there that will realize that games are not worth it. Unfortunately (at least for women that date me), I've dealt with that bull too many damn times to give a woman another chance. They try playing games just once and I walk away."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: I just want to hear some advice....
High schoolers often have a warped sense of how dating and relationships are supposed to work, and I don't say that as a criticism. Maturity is still developing for most and people learn how to run things smoothly often only after they've messed up a lot. I definitely remember those awkward "talking one day then walking past one another the next". Good times.
I'll tell ya, one of the most interesting (and offsetting) things about teaching in a high school now was walking down a narrow hallway on the first day during passing time. It's just nonstop bobbing and weaving to avoid all the couples pinning one another against the lockers, giving goodbye kisses over and over again, and walking hand-in-hand covering the width of the hallway itself. It's insane, like they're trying to act grown up by enacting as much PDA as humanly possible. I just want to jump on top of a soap box and yell, "This isn't what real life is like!"Comment

Re: I just want to hear some advice....
Seeing the OP's problem is pretty much the reason why I've had 3 girlfriends in my life. All in high school. I'm 21, and yet to have a girlfriend in college. I just don't have time for women's bull****.

Re: I just want to hear some advice....
I agree with the move on comments...It took me until later in college to learn not to put women on a pedestal.

Everything is cool now guys. Because I listened and don't care anymore.
Then... yesterday guess who tried to call me? Needless to say I didn't answer the phone.Comment

Re: I just want to hear some advice....
This. Also - In this case take the George Costanza approach, and whatever you think you "should" do, do the opposite.
You think you should call her. Don't.
You think you should text her. Don't.
You see her walking down the hall, and want to make eye contact or something...ignore, pretend like she isn't even there.
