How do you sleep ?

This thread was inspired by a conversation I had at work, today.

How do you sleep at night ?

I usually sleep with my iPhone/iHome on with the box fan on low or medium. Then again, half the time I fall asleep with the TV on.

I can't sleep in complete silence..

I always sleep with the TV on sports center. It usually takes me 45 min after going to bed to go to sleep. Mostly because I'll watch sports center and after a bit I'll go to sleep when it goes to a commercial.

I love going to sleep when it's freezing cold. Having to throw on sweatpants and a hoodie to go bed and getting under the covers is pure bliss. I have to have the blanket pulled up to my neck and I sleep on my side. I even pull it up during the summer and it's warm. I turn my pillow over every 5-10 minutes because nothing beats the other side of the pillow. Oh, I also sleep with 2 pillows and will occasionally sandwich my head between them if I'm having trouble getting to sleep. I can't nap during the day. I just can't go to sleep once it's light out. I typically sleep in gym shorts & a tee shirt.

I used to fall asleep with the tv on, but now I just have a fan that gives me enough noise to drown things out. I think I sleep better without the tv on, but it took getting used to.

I prefer total darkness, with noise.



With that said..



Door closed. Blinds pulled. Ceiling fan on. TV off, stereo receiver off. When I initially go to bed, I sleep with my head in between 2 pillows to drown out the fan noise(ironic I know).




I don't see how people live without ceiling fans. Especially in the South.

I sleep with a floor fan on medium, in boxers and on my side.

No TV nor radio. Like mgoblue, the fan drowns out enough of the noise to make it easy for to fall asleep.

I don't sleep any particular way. I just turn everything off and get under the covers.

I sleep with the fan on, but honestly I don't really need any noise to fall asleep. I just need to be somewhat cold.

No sounds, no lights, and a cold room for me. Pretty much the only way I can sleep.

I like it when it is cold, too. I think the best sleep I ever got was during the furniture market like seven years ago or so while I was in the camping trailer. The propane ran out one night and the heat went out, so the temperature fell into the 50s in the trailer. But, once I dove under the covers, it was like heaven under there!

fan on low, on my side with my wife behind me balled up under the sheet and blanket saying she is cold LMAO.

Ah yes, nothing like getting under the covers on a cold night. I tend to be most comfortable half on my back and half on my side. I turn on my fan when my room is a little warm and the AC when it is really warm.
