Baseball solely because of Joe Morgan and Joe Buck.

They're bad enough that it cancels out all of the amazing baseball announcers.

Joe Buck also ruins NFL games.

I'd say NFL has the worst because some of those non-marquee matchups can have horrible announcers. It's like they just take any former NFL player off the street and give them a headset. My IQ temporarily drops on Sundays listening to some of the hacks they put out there.

Oh yeah I was supposed to chime in but I got distracted by other things. Anyways I have to say football both pro and college. The really good announcers are awesome but the drop off from the top tier guys to the people that do the lesser games is HUGE.

Heck, even some of the top guys that get paid the big bucks can be bad. As an example Kirk Herbstreit tonight said he was impressed with Michigan's defense today. This is totally laughable as it was really UConn's inability to catch the damn ball and take advantage of situations that lost them the game. Oh Michigan's defense played better then last year but it wasn't some great impressive feat.

I only really watch football, but man a lot of the announcers are just horrible. I remember from a game not too long ago, the refs called a strange penalty and the announcers talked about some inane crap nobody cares about OVER the ref so you couldn't hear and then didn't even say what the penalty was.

I think it's easily baseball. There are so many announcers who just spout off cliche after cliche without bothering to figure out if it is relevant. They also typically offer very little in terms of insight to the game or the players.
