Which sports has the worst announcers?

I thought this would be interesting and maybe it would correlate with your enjoyment of sports on TV. I'll let you guys hash it out a bit and i'll throw in my two cents later.

I can't really listen to the announcers for any of the "extreme"/action sports for very long. I love watching them, but yeah announcers get kind of old to me.

There are some really horrible announcers in NFL though, especially for the games that aren't the "featured" games.

This is hard to answer. Every sport has bad announcers, especially for less important games/leagues such as a Tuesday night football game between 2 Sun Belt opponents or a minor league baseball game. I would have to say football has some pretty lousy announcers, we got a dose of that last night between Pitt and Utah.

Also have to agree with the extreme sports announcers.

Extreme sports and Nascar get my vote. I think there seems to be an inferiority complex there so they tend to over emphasize things and use "wow" language when it really isn't necessary.

The TNT NASCAR crew.

That Versus crew last night for Pitt/Utah was awful, as well.

Joe B is arguably the best hockey announcer out there. He's great on CSN for the Caps and he's always plugged for their nat'l broadcasts. A total professional, he's got a great voice.

Not sure who the color guy was.

Anything on Versus and NFL Network. It will put you to sleep and make you want to not watch the game LOL.

Baseball solely because of Joe Morgan and Joe Buck.

They're bad enough that it cancels out all of the amazing baseball announcers.
