    Oakleys

Are Oakleys worth the price, or even half the price?

Brother keeps wanting me to hint at him what he should get me for a groomsmen gift. So it popped into my head for some sunglasses because right now I have a $8 pair that is missing the nuts on one of the lens so it just sits on the screws and always falls off.

He said he is only spending $50-$100. Oakleys are just what popped into my head first and you can get them on ebay new in that price range. As long as they are polarized I really don't care about the brand. Something sporty or aviators is what I want. My last good pair lasted me 2.5 years, so I'd get a lot more use out of these then if he just bought me a game or something.

I have the white Gascans with a custom paint job that ran me 20 extra dollars.

    Highly worth it.

I also have the gascans, though black with the reflective lenses. By far the best sunglasses I've owned and I don't see them wearing out anytime soon. If you can afford them sure, but I wouldn't break the bank for them.

I still have an old pair of Juliets that I got in about 9 years ago. I take good care of my sunglasses and they still are great now. I could replace the lens, but they are now my backup pair.

I got a pair for baseball a few years back, best sunglasses I ever got. Radar Pitch. It's like having HD vision through these sunglasses, and they have safety goggle specifications! I could have been hit in the face with a line drive at 90MPH and they wouldn't even crack. Man I love those sunglasses

While the new pair of perscription Bolle sunglasses I have are pretty awesome...the moment I get contacts I am re-purchasing a pair of Oakleys, because the ones I had pre-perscription were amazing and well worth the 150 they cost.

Don't know what "model" they were, but they had some sick orange mirror-lenses that freaked people out when I wore them.

If you're going to spend money on sunglasses, go with a pair of Costa Del Mar's. Best sunglasses on the planet.

Pretty much all of the oakley glasses can be fit with whatever colored lens you want... I have the Half Jacket model that I use to change prescription darks and clears depending on the time of day I'm playin baseball or whatever. The cool thing about this pair is that the grips allow you to do some heavy-metal type headbanging and the frames never slip off the face.

I rode for Oakley and Spy, both worth it imo. Oakley is targeted more for sports where the Spys are...I'm not sure how you can describe them since they're all over the place in designs.

I wasnt a fan of sunglasses until I got contacts and then going out was way too bright right away, so I started wearing some

agreed. Now whenever I ride or go to a baseball game I pretty much have to wear them.

Make no mistake, when you get a pair of oakleys your paying for the brand. They are excellent glasses but I have worn other lesser brands that are just as comfortable and offer the same eye protection.

Oakley combat boots are trash though, those things fall apart after a few months of use.
