    Re: Oakleys

I worked at an Oakley retail store for about 2 years, their big selling point is the lenses and the image quality. No distortion or magnification or anything like that, what you see through the lens is what's actually there which sounds obvious but there is a difference. Their lenses are just one piece of polycarbonate instead of a piece of glass with a bunch of coatings on it and each one does something different so it can distort the image. Plus you can get prescription lenses in just about everything although their really expensive and insurance won't cover it a lot of the time since they'll say the Oakley lenses are excessive and unnecessary.

Their definitely nice glasses, I never wore sun glasses before I worked there and now if it's sunny out I never leave the house with out them. Getting a ridiculous discount helps so I have like 5 or 6 pairs I actually wear and a couple others I bought for next to nothing just cause they had cool frames. Try them on before you buy anything especially if you have a small head since a lot of the frames will be way to big. A lot of the frames only look good if you have a pretty big head.

The clothes and pretty much everything else that aren't glasses are garbage though, stay away, terrible quality and most of them start falling apart after a wash or two. The backpacks are decent though.

I can probably answer any other questions you might have about them.
