Don't goto college unless your 1. Going to a Major School 2. You are 100% sure you need a diploma in a certain field to do what you want to do.

Find a way to make money and save up, find a way to work for urself.

The whole system is broken.

...as long as you do just enough to get into a good college, [high school] doesn't really matter. I had something ridiculous like a 2.6 gpa, then got a 1380 on my SAT's and got into Uconn, which is what I wanted to do all along...

Who paid/pays your tuition?

Like 3.2 for both. Could never stand school, so I didn't put any effort into it.

Graduated with a 3.4 in high school. Had a 4.0 my freshman and sophomore years. Slacked off my junior year and my senior year shouldn't even count as a school year. I didn't do a thing.

I go to college part-time when I can, it's hard going to college in the military but I have a 3.6 gpa though.

B average in HS. Pretty sure I didn't study for a single test my last two years. I knew I was going to community college based on past first year failures by older siblings so I didn't have much incentive. Senior year I didn't do jack and I don't regret it. You are forced to relearn most of the stuff in college anyways when you take your "basics".

In college I am in my third year and have a 3.2. Got screwed in a class and lost a letter grade so it could be higher. One thing I tell people is if you take a class you need only for the credit do the easiest one possible. We have some psych majors in my networking fundamentals class when they could have taken Intro to Computers.

I have a 4.14 now in my junior year in high school. I never did homework in junior high and my grades reflected it. I knew I had to step it up freshman year of high school. I have been working so hard, my motivation is to get into Notre Dame. Everyday I wake up to a picture of the Golden Dome above my bed. I push myself in academics and try really hard. My friends always tell me to stop trying and hang out with them more. People always say, "You won't be able to make it," and just laugh when they hear my dreams. I hope to one day prove them wrong and indeed make into the University of Notre Dame!

I have a 4.14 now in my junior year in high school. I never did homework in junior high and my grades reflected it. I knew I had to step it up freshman year of high school. Just ignore what those people say. They are just jealous and will probably turn out to be losers and not do anything with their life.

So basically OS is full of geniuses with amazing grades...

...and geniuses who didn't get amazing grades, but would have had they used 10% of their maximum mental capacity.

I had a 3.7 GPA until I had an Office Space moment where he wakes up and refuses to go. I just woke up one day and decided I was done, ended up finishing the last year and a half through homeschool while I went the motocross route, 2.2 GPA because I completely stopped caring.

Yeah, the US education system is so ****ty. If you play your cards right, you don't have to do much to get good grades, which is what I did. Compared to how tough some other countries are, it's nothing here. From a lot of the foreign exchange system kids I've talked to, that's one of the biggest shocks.

I think its funny my HS GPA was 1.4 and I was 1040 out of 1091 seniors and my college GPA was 3.8

Junior year, I know my GPA is greater than a 4 right now, somewhere around 4.4 I think. All A's going now (my classes are ridiculously easy) except for AP US History, in which I have a C, which I believe translates to a ~4.0 for the GPA.

I take ACT's sometime in April, I think. Shooting for a 30, hopefully enough to get me into Illinois or Northwestern.
