I don't drink it black. I like lattes & mochas. I get mine with non-fat milk and sugar free syrup if they have it. When I have it at home, I make is stronger though, usually 4 oz and 8 oz of milk. I don't have to have it, but I like having one in the morning if I'm tired or as a pick me up in the early afternoon.

I love a peppermint white mocha from starbucks. I order it year round or make it myself at home. So good, it's even better with the whipped cream and sauce on it, but that is a dessert and way too bad for you.

If you add a bunch of cream and sugar it is no longer coffee. It is a dessert.

Cafe con leche is simply exactly what the translation says: Coffee with milk. Probably 1/3 cup whole milk and the rest coffee. Today there is two ounces of coffee and 14 of milk/cream/sugar/caramel syrup/chocolate/whipped cream/coffee mate/etc.

Since when is two tbl spoons of creme "a bunch" for a 12oz cup? It makes the coffee a little thicker, and that is about it. Those drinks you're talking about are not coffees those are Lattes and Cappuchinos etc. done throught the "espresso" process; which is not a special bean or anything but a way the coffee is brewed.

Geesh...you people and the obsession that coffee should be drunk a certain way...

Depends on my mood.

In the morning, I want it black, hot and bitter. In the afternoon, I'll slightly take a bit of the edge off of the bitterness. If I eat something sweet or sugary, I will take it black. If I'm out with friends, I'll get something more frilly, but never like this ice cream crap that they make.

I drink Maxwell House, I use light creme and 2 sugars. If I cant have light creme, like if the store up the street is out, Ill go with half and half. I sometimes drink it light with no sugar but I prefer at least a spoonful.

I wasn't talking about you JBH. I was talking about those who use a large amount of sugar/milk in their coffee. It is no longer coffee at that point.
