Well i had to buy a "new" car a few months ago, and you may want to look at Pontiac.

Because they are now out of business you can get them pretty cheap. I was able to get a 2010 Pontiac G6 GT with 11,000 miles for only $14,000. Came with the transferrable GM warranty and everything. 2010 G6 frontends were redesigned and I think it made them look great.

Here is a picture of a new G6. Mine is a silver one. I enjoy it. Not quite as nice as our 2009 Malibu LT but a bit more sporty.

G6, Grand Am's and Grand Prix's are gas guzzlers with their V6 engine. And if you going to get a gas guzzler might as well go all out and buy a pick up truck or SUV.

They did.......but they still got about a half million cars or more at dealerships that were already made.

So, what does it mean to own a Pontiac if the brand no longer exists? I own a 2005 Pontiac Vibe, but I really don't understand what it means for me that this brand is no longer produced.

You will still be covered, if not by Pontiac directly, it will be by a 3rd party. But you will still be covered. You should be getting something in the mail within the next couple of weeks.

Hmm... a Ford Mustang. I wonder if people are getting good mileage (supposedly in the high-20's up to to 30) on the base-V6.

Thats not true at all. Mine has a 3.5 V6 and I get 30 hwy and 24-25 or so city.
