Do you buy bottled water?

Ok...my parents and I were having dinner and my Dad starting complaining about how the cost of bottled water at the store had gone up .50 or something like that for a case of 24. And I asked them how many cases they go thru in a week's time and we got to figuring how much they spend a year on something they can get for free from their tap and can buy a water purifier to make it "healthier".

I do not buy bottled water. I think its a waste of money. I can get the same stuff from my water hose or faucet and I bought a purifier for about $75, which is cheaper than buying cases of water on a weekly basis. Spring water, purified water, what have you...its a waste in my opinion. Get a glass, turn on your faucet, fill'er up, and enjoy!

Anyways, I was curious, am I the only that DOESN'T buy bottled water?

I hardly ever drink water, so no. I probably should drink more water, though.

I will buy the Big 2 gallon jugs and refill them a few times before I buy a new one.

I voted no. The only time I buy it is if Im on a road trip and I stop at the gas station and want some water.

Everyone should buy bottled water. For a little while, my uncle was using one of those breathing machines that you put water in and he said you have no idea how nasty the water is you drink until you breathe it. He only used bottled water from there on.

I buy it because I use to hate the tap water at my house growing up. It tasted weird to me. So I got in the habit of buying bottled water at a young age and have been doing it ever since.

I know it is a waste of money but if I drink tap water I think "is this water ok?"

I know I'm weird.

Such a ridiculous statement, this is almost like saying driving a car is better for you than riding a bike because you could get hit by a car on a bike. The majority of tap Water in the US is totally fine, unless you live in a third world country, tap water is going to be fine for you.

buying bottled water is one of the worst things you can do for the environment. It also also extremely expensive if you only drink Bottled water, does he realize how much money he could save by just buying a water filtration system?

We buy a 24 case about once a month. Usually it's for when we are leaving and want to take water or when my daughter wants to take water for lunch at school.

When I drink it at home it's from the water filter out of the fridge

No, I used to, since I do not want fluoride in my drinking source...

But then I got this, which was the best investment I ever made.

They can be found all over the web with various prices. I got mine for less than $200. And saves you a crap ton of money from buying bottled water. And not have to worry about the plastics being absorbed into the water which can be harmful. It can filter urine if you needed it too (do not recommend haha). Takes out every thing harmful from e coli, etc. all the way to arsenic, etc.

Now I live where I have well water, so I do not need to worry about fluoride, but still use it because it takes all the impurities/bacteria out still and makes it taste so darn good (since that is what makes water taste bad). But leaves all the good micro minerals your body needs from water and proper hydration.
