I feel bad for him. But why do ex football players in up being insurance men. My friend Gino did the same thing when the NFL didn't work? And then he got a job on ESPN.

Probably Everlong. But that's a tough question.

Album would be Colour & the Shape without a doubt, though.

I agree, Everlong. Don't discount the self titled album though, but can't go wrong with The Colour and the Shape either.

I don't feel bad for him now obviously, but I kinda do at situation especially if he didn't turn into a star. Whole dream is to get drafted and play in the NFL, prolly a very emotional day just staring as teams keep passing on you and your dream could potentially slip away.

Gonna go with a completely off-the-wall answer and pick "Walk", the last track from their new album Wasting Light. Love that song.

I tend to think of Foo Fighters as a very workmanline rock band, though, in that they have a large number of good songs across about twenty years of playing now, even if they aren't the foremost name that jumps to the tongue when one discusses the "best" rock bands.
