If you have another car sell the Civic and get the bike.
I'm a two vehicle owner, which is shocking considering I'm only 21 and I'm faced with a difficult decision. I had a bike when I was 18 and I decided to sell it off. I'm now debating on whether or not to let my Civic go. I got it when I was 17 and It's a gas saver for sure, but my other vehicle also gets great gas mileage and it's the one I'm paying for. I like that the Civic is paid off, but I catch myself rarely driving it.
I've been looking at an 06 Suzuki GSXR 600. I'd like to have an 08, but It could be a little out of my price range right now... I'm not debating on the risks.. just whether or not I really need it. If I sold my Civic, I would pretty much have the money for the bike. I've got enough work tied up into my Civic to fetch an extra 1500$ on top of what the actual value is. It comes stock with a 1.6l sohc vtech and I've built a 2.0 dohc vtech and put in it.. along with a complete exhaust from the headers back... and 17" rims and lip kit. I just hate to see it go to anyone, but a good owner..
I've got about 4 friends who got back into riding bikes and I don't want to get it just because of them, but for myself kinda. I enjoy riding, but it's that much funner when you have someone else to ride with.. which is why I let my first bike go..
ahh.. decisions decisions. feel free to ignore me.. my family is just tired of me talking to them about it and asking for their opinions and I don't feel like starting a thread for it.
