Having lived in Iowa my whole life and now being in Texas for my second summer, it's not even CLOSE; Midwest winters are MUCH worse than southern summers.

Haha yeah my grandma and mom both grew up in Iowa, after they both have lived in Louisiana and FL they told me summer here is way better then winter in Iowa. I've only been to Iowa during winter once when I was like 5 but I remember a lot of snow lol

Gotta vent somewhat.

My roommate is overall annoying, makes random noises that pisses me off, always wants to be included, can't figure anything out on his own,etc. Yet he just said i'm the bad person that I'm the one person he knows that gets so pissy at these things, no they don't get pissed at it cause they don't freaking put up with your BS all day.

Friend called me earlier today and told me to come over with NCAA 12, so we did that and played some FIFA for awhile. Eventually go out and hang out with these chicks we know for a bit, finally just got home and my roommate gets all mad that I left to do stuff and didn't let him know or txt him. Says i'm missing the whole point of a roommate, no the whole point is we just live together and share a room. I'll do whatever the F I want to do and when I want to, he goes on to say I have all these problems and begs me to punch him so that he'll have a new roommate. I almost did but stopped myself. He says never wants to talk to me ever again, good but gonna be awkward considering he's rooming with my best friend in the fall

Luckily there's only 2 more weeks of summer session left

Sounds like you have a clingy roommate that cant find his own niche group. Neither of my two roommates have been like this but I saw it alot my freshman year with others. Its probably tougher because youre in a summer start program with much less people on campus. that said talk to your resident administrator, not adviser, about a room change. If they request you both to the office to sit and talk, insist on a direct room change with no consultation. You dont have to put up with this kid.

BTW he isnt your assigned roommate for fall is he?

Oh and do not get into a fight with this kid. You dont want campus safety to "know" you.

I think your roommate has a crush on you or something. What guy gets mad over what his roommate does outside of the room. You 2 are roommates, not dating or married to each other.

But it is good to know you are adjusting to college life quite well and actually leave the room.

My freshman year roommate was from California. He moved out about 3 weeks after I began pledging my fraternity. I lived in the male dorm. It's pretty old and 95% freshmen. We literally lived in the same room. I got at least 4 lectures from him on protocol when bringing a girl back at 3 AM after a swap. He got fed up with it and moved to another dorm that was a suite-style dorm.


Meanwhile for the rest of the year I had a spare bed in my room. Best pick-up line ever.

Just received some disturbing news this morning from my mother. Late last night my cousin was stabbed 12 times in her driveway by an ex coworker. They had worked together at a local market before she began college at URI this year. He had an unhealthy obsession with her which caused her to file a restraining order against him.

During Christmas break he had slashed her tires and was arrested for that. That was the last time he had caused any kind of incident or tried to contact her.

He fractured her left arm , stabbed her in her right side four times , right twice , chest five , and her spine once. Shes in stable condition but the doctors are worried about the stabbing to the spine.

He was arrested last night by the state police and is currently in prison. Which is good news. Waiting for my mother to get to my house so we can go to the hospital together. There are some sick and disturbing people in the world.

Sorry man. Keep us posted. I hope she makes a full recovery.

Damn aerobee... hope that dude gets locked up. But because he didn't actually kill your cousin, he'll probably only get a slap on the wrist (not to mention the power and influence of his family). Shame. Our society waits for the problems to occur instead of being proactive. But just reading that account of the guy stabbing your cousin was a bit frightening. I can't imagine being in that situation, and hope I never have to live it out.

So, I started a Road to Glory for a running back. My high school won State (woo), but I only made it up to a 3 star caliber prospect. I was; however, good enough to sign with VA Tech. Its week 11 and I can position battle for starting duties. That is what I accomplished last night.

Anybody know if I can import my RTG player into Madden? Or are they not going to have a similar mode?
