I had a dream about a dog roaming in my backyard.
I woke up to find a cat roaming in my backyard.

Well do you have anything that you buy and pay with cash every month? Gas, food, etc.? I would get a credit card and pay with that instead but just treat it like cash (i.e. don't spend more than you have) in order to build some credit and perhaps take advantage of the various cashback rewards or other programs some credit cards offer.

Just don't carry a balance. I got my credit card when I was 17 and am almost 25 and have not paid even one cent of interest because I do not carry a balance.

If you are responsible and can resist the temptation to spend more than you have, credit cards are fantastic. Fast and easy to use, eligible for rewards/cashback programs, theft protection (consider your recourse if you lose a wad of cash vs. losing a credit card) and they make it very easy to track spending.

Have no choice but to still live at home unfortunately. I'd move elsewhere if I could.

I still live at home too, but make much more than that, and still rough.

              Times are tough.

How the hell you make $150 a month ? What you working 3 days a month ? Something is better then nothing though, keep your head up.

But anyway......even if you just buy a pack of gum a month and pay it off, it improves your credit score.

Like Spencer said, you only have monthly payments if you have a standing balance.

And if you're worried about getting declined, go to your bank and speak with someone there. They can often help you out with the application process to make sure you'll be approved. You might only have a $500 max, but you probably don't want more than that anyway.

Unfortunately, I have a standing balance of over $1000 on my credit card now due to some emergency plane tickets I've had to buy recently, but my minimum monthly payment is only about $30. I've also had this credit card for 8 years and have always made payments on time so my interest rate is pretty low.

Got called off of work, they told me to not even bother.

The only way out of town right now is I-80 which is backed up like crazy.

I have family in Danville, and ish gets crazy there if it's flooded.

It's not like where I live, multiple ways to go in and out of any city.

Just got the friendzone slap for the first time since highschool. It doesn't feel any better than it did then.

My credit card balances backed up when my father had a stroke. I had to worry about paying for essentials.

However, also some bad judgement on my part.

I have now graduated and get a good job, and slowly nipping the balances in the butt.

Yeah, the only way to Danville right now is via 80...the Bloom/Danville highway is blocked off.

You actually can get to Berwick, which is West of us, but that's about it. I'm assuming the fairgrounds is getting hit pretty hard right now too, which sucks because the fair starts in 3 weeks.

I work 2 days a week at Carl's Jr, working for 3 hours at a time doing "maintenance" (putting away the truck shipment, cleaning up the parking lot, taking out boxes and trash and cleaning tables).

I have a graduation reward coming from Discover from my student loans. I'm going to use all of that and just pay the rest of my debt off so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

I've been chipping away at it and got it down to about $700 but being unemployed now has built it back up a bit.
