For reasons I don't know, those rules only apply in the postseason.

In regular season, it's still sudden death.

One of the stupider things in the NFL, imo. Pick one or the other, and make it the rule for the whole year.

I think I just got screwed in my Madden 'chise.

I may be wrong, so I'll give you guys the run down and maybe I missed something and you can point it out to me.

Playing Wk 1 Lions (me) vs Bucs.

Tie game as time expires so it goes to overtime.

I choose heads and lose the toss, so Tampa receives.

They drive the length of the field and are forced to kick a field goal and they convert it.

Game ends immediately and they win.

According to the new rules, shouldn't I be given a chance at posession, since they couldn't score a TD and kicked the field goal ? Maybe I missed something.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up.

What makes it worse, is that the commentators even took the time to explain the new rules, but didn't even mention that it was only for the playoffs.

Woke up to watch the first game of the rugby world cup....Man, i'm surprised players don't get injured more than they do. That's one rough and tumble sport.

It's called proper form tackling. NFL players should learn it.

When you don't have all that protective gear on, you are more conscious about your and the other player's safety. Rugby players are probably the toughest athletes on the planet.
