Before I start, here's a little back story..

There's been a huge debate around the county about the way funding for arts programs, in schools, are being distributed and they are talking about serious cut backs.

An art teacher at a local school, has been painting these porcelain mules all kinds of bright colors with abstract designs (they actually look pretty good) and they've been putting them in places all around the county. They've been placing them in the mall, by the schools, doctors offices, etc. to try to get the word out about how important art is for the schools and there are about 30 of them total.

Now that I've got that out of the way, my boss texted me and asked if I worked Thursday. I was supposed to work 1-10. He asked if I wanted to work 6-3 and then help him take pictures with every one of these damn mules, lol. I agreed as crazy as it sounds and we've got at least 5 people that are going to start searching for these things and taking pictures with them.. should be pretty entertaining...

I've all ready been asking on facebook if people can tell me where they are, so they'll be easier to find. We've all ready located 10 of them..

Speaking of squirrels, they are always throwing nuts at me while I'm walking to class.

Let me re-phrase. I don't know if they are throwing them directly at me on purpose, but they are hurling walnuts in my direction frequently.

I don't trust these squirrels around my apartment complex. Everyday for a week, a squirrel has run in front of me at the same exact spot after I get out of my car. Then a few minutes ago, there was one standing on its hind legs just staring at me as I walked by. Chubby little bastard too, he looked like he got prepared for winter and then some.

If you want, I can send my dog your way. He'll make those squirrels regret that they ever showed their faces around you.

I wish sleeping 2 hours a day was acceptable. I hate sleeping. Biggest waste of time ever.

My greatest wish is for scientists to find a way to be able to accelerate the sleeping process so we can feel completely rested on 1-2 hours of sleep. Would literally add years of awake time to our lives.

There's a method of sleeping called polyphasic sleep. You take 6, 20 minute naps throughout the day and it supposedly keeps you fully rested.

I don't know a ton about it, but I've heard good and bad things.

At the 2011 ESPY awards a man named Dewey Bozella received the Arthur Ashe Award. If you watched you will remember he was wrongfully imprisoned for 26 years.

Thanks to help of Oscar de la Hoya and Bernard Hopkins. He was able to receive his boxing license in California and will fight his first pro fight this Saturday.

At the house my family lived in when I was 1-2 years old there was a tree with branches that came right up to my parents bedroom window. Apparently a squirrel would always come and scratch at their window.

On the street my family moved to when I was 8 there was this really tame squirrel that had been named Hungry Jack. He would always go and sit on peoples porches and wait for them to give him peanuts. We even have a picture of him taking peanuts right out of my dads hand.

One time my dog (Thor) was having a conversation with a squirrel (possibly Hungry Jack) sitting on my neighbors garage roof. He was barking at the squirrel and the squirrel was chittering back at him.

One time my mom was playing with our puppy that we only had for about 10 months and threw her ball against the fence at the back of our back yard. When the puppy went to get the ball, a squirrel (not Hungry Jack who had died several years earlier) jumped onto the fence from behind and started chittering at her. Puppy ran back to the basement door and wouldn't go near the fence for the rest of the day.

Interesting... I'm going to look into this.

Note that you won't actually be completely rested, but you will feel that way mentally.
