I have to take my dog to the vet today. I'm worried about going out on black friday, since his vet is in a strip mall. But he has a busted toe that is bent the wrong way and I'm not gonna make him wait until it's convenient for me.

Poor little guy, I hope he doesn't take a dump in the vets office (again).

That's nothing. I had to walk 3,000 miles to work in the snow EVERY DAY when I was 8. One day my feet got so cold that they fell off. My job didn't care. They gave me new feet and I had to work a 720 hour shift on Thanksgiving all the way until Christmas. By the end of my shift my arms fell off too. Luckily I had vacation days or else they would've made me stay with no arms.

I'm not sure how he hurt it, there was never a moment where he suddenly yelped or limped. He never showed any pain. I didn't even know he had a problem until I was combing his fur the other day and saw it bent back. He was still running, jumping, playing toys, and acting like his usual self. It was weird. But then last night I could tell it was bothering him, and today he tried to cut his walk short and didn't want to climb back up the steps to the apartment so I definitely needed to bring him in.

My cat Coco passed away earlier tonight. She hasn't been doing too well over the past few months, and had been getting worse and worse. She was getting old (she was 14 or 15) and it really showed. My mom told me that her and my dad were going to have her put to sleep next weekend so I could see her one last time since she was my cat. I logged off from playing Battlefield 3 with some friends of mine to go to bed when I found her laying next to my bed in my room...

OK...reading your horror stories I sure as hell hope Black Friday doesn't become as big a thing up here as it is in the US. As BNG said it's slowly creeping it's way up here but in the big cities like Toronto it's actually already here to an extent in a miniaturized form.
