I just lost a heart breaker in my SMU dynasty. I lost 27-26 to Washington State due to a final second FG. What makes it worse is that I thought I kicked a game winning FG with 34 seconds.

I just finished up my 2nd season in my Pitt dynasty with a 40-21 win over TCU in the Sugar Bowl despite the fact that I couldn't pass or defend the pass to save my life. Forcing 3 TCU fumbles helped though. Finished the season 10-3 (7-0 in the BE) & ranked #11. Funny though, Rutgers was 12-1 (6-1) and ranked 6th (their only loss being to me). I had been ranked as high as 6tb going into my season finale against 8-3 Notre Dame, but got humiliated 45-21 whenI couldn't pass or defend the pass. Pass defnese is virtually nonexistent in this game. Nobody can run against me, but everyone can pass against me. Oh, and Alabam finished 14-0 again to win their 2nd straight NC (they haven't lost a game in the dynasty yet).

It's not stupid nor an overreaction, although I'm not surprised the students think that. It's the freaking law. Kid got what he deserved.

On to other things...
watching the big hockey game right now between UND and Minnesota, wish I could actually be there. I may be biased when I say this, but really, the Ralph Engelstad Arena is one of the most underrated sports venues around. If for whatever ridiculous reason you decide to visit Grand Forks, make sure you visit the arena and get to a Sioux hockey game.
The atmosphere is second to none and it is a gorgeous arena.

You're not biased on this opinion. I've never been there, but from what I've heard it's better than most NHL arenas. I know the Wild have had preseason games there. I mean, there's not much in Grand Forks for people to get behind, so they support their hockey team. It's similar to Green Bay with the Packers. On Friday and Saturday nights in the fall and winter, that's what the town does.

Anyways, yeah, I'm disappointed I'm not going to be able to speculate or detail ideas here anymore. On the other hand, if you liked what ideas I had, it's not wishlist anymore, it's proposed design.

Well, it will be for M13... I'm really too late in the cycle to have any meaningful impact on the design for M12. I'll be spending most of the rest of this cycle putting polish on tuning aspects of the game... basically small assignments that allow me to learn the tools of the trade.

That said, I'm not going anywhere I've still gotta get my MLB The Show sliders and complain about SvR not going anywhere year after year.

I'm sure someone will ask him if he'll still post as regularly as he does once it's inevitably brought up in the Madden forums. He'll say things will still mostly be the same, but then a month later he'll disappear into that colorful pit of balls at EA.

And yes, that last sentence is true. EA does have a colorful pit of balls in their building.

To be fair, I've never been a "regular" poster, but a very spurty one. I post like mad immediately after the release of a game I'm into, then I lurk for a while. I'm always here, but I go weeks without posting.

At any rate, I'm not leaving. I've always used this place to keep myself updated on what people were thinking about Madden.

I don't think it was just for his OS insight. I know he's actually been to the Tiburon studios for Community Days so I'm sure there was some type of interviewing process.

Regardless, this keeps me hopeful for the future of Madden.

Interestingly enough, my "journey" began when Ian and Phil went rogue and started posting on the forums. I complained about some stuff to Ian, and I didn't expect a reply.

Not only did I get a reply, he made a comment about wood chippers; a reference to the fact that I'm from Fargo. I'd been posting on MM for 8 years at that point, but I'd posted on that forum (EA official) forum maybe twice in that time. Yet he knew who I was... that told me he was paying attention to the community at large.

Anyways, he showed up at MM and started interacting with the community. It got ugly real quick. Most of those guys have been banned from here. I consider many of them friends, they're good folks, but they'd rather vent on Ian than interact with him in any meaningful way.

I've always been the type that would spend a few paragraphs proposing a solution to a problem rather than complaining about the problem. That's why I was asked to Community Day prior to M10.

I was asked back that summer to do some additional QA testing. I was told I was chosen out of the CD guys (all of which had quality feedback) because I covered more areas of the game. TheWatcher is the presentation guru, LBzrule was the sim-gameplay guy, Kane was the authenticity guy, etc. I touched on everything, thus I was selected.

Over that summer I did enough QA to count as several dozen very long interviews. I just don't want people to think they hired me out of the blue because I made nice posts. I did have a formal interview as well, but I'm pretty sure what I did prior to that was what earned me the position.

Adam Joseph "A.J." Dembroski... a lot of people call me Adem online. I've always thought it was short for adembroski rather than thinking my name was Adem Broski. As long as you don't add a "W" to my name, I'm cool.

Yep, Eden Prairie, southwest satellite of Minneapolis.. Born up in Sup-town, grew up in AZ, but spent the last 12 years in Fargo before moving to the cities last March or so.

Early prediction... the 'Niners are going to have a Notre Dame like season next year... a slow, somewhat painful transition to the new system as the coaches adjust to the NFL and players adjust to the coaches before tearing off some impressive wins late in the year and finishing just out of the playoffs.

I really like the way the new linemen progressed late. I'd written Anthony Davis off by week 5, but he came on pretty strong late and showed surprising athleticism considering he's known as a bit of a mauler. The personnel the 49ers have is more suited for what Harbaugh runs, and I think the West Coast offense is exactly what Crabtree needs to break out.

A lot of the attention this off-season is going to be on the QB hunt. I have a feeling Harbaugh is going to look at the tape and think he can get by with Alex Smith for one year since it's not a good QB draft, and he'll look to get another WR and a CB. I also think that's the right way to go... it looks like Cam is likely to be the best QB available at the 49ers draft position, and he's not suited for Harbaugh's system. Unless they trade for Kolb, either Alex Smith (if he agrees to stay) or David Carr will start one more season.

I don't think Locker's very good, and Mallet will be gone before SF has any realistic shot at trading up for him. I would say they'd look toward Patrick Peterson except that they need a true corner, not a tweener. He'll be a safety and might go to the Cards (unless Mallet falls). Julio Jones would be a great fit, but I expect his workouts to be outstanding and I don't think Dallas will pass on him. If I had to make the call right now who SF will take first, I'm leaning toward Justin Blackmon unless Aaron Williams absolutely blows people away in workouts.

My perfect off season? Bring back Alex Smith, Sign Asomugha and James Jones, trade out of the 1st and get Rodney Hudson to replace Chilo Rachel, and prepare to give up some draft picks to move up for Luck next year.
