Revis - btw Revis plays for the Jets not the Colts. Anyway, you could be a Phillies fan.. I feel like I'm the only Phillies fan who posts about the Phillies a lot. If you don't believe me check the Official Braves thread, then check the Official Phillies thread

After the 07 playoffs I stopped following the Indians and baseball in general. I was more of a casual fan anyway, the season is just too long for me to get into it anymore.-Ohio State-

Re: Off Topic 2011
I don't know. I tried getting into it in 09 and at one point you could say I was a casual fan. I actually watched every Post Season game that year, first time I've ever done that. But I never came back to it last year. It just doesn't draw me back. I can get into it for a season or maybe the Playoffs.. and then the next year I won't care at all. Like last year I watched maybe 1-2 games of the Playoffs. I think having a team to follow and root for would help. Plus I don't really understand the ins and outs of the game and a lot of the terms and statistics I don't know very well. I only know the basics if that.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
Revis is also a former rock band. That's where my name originated from. I was looking for an XBL gamertag, couldn't think of anything, and then looked on my iTunes for band names and chose Revis. Only to have Darrelle Revis become an NFL star a few years later.
As far as the baseball team thing, I've been trying to find one for awhile but I haven't gotten attached to one yet. I thought about the Phillies because of Ryan Howard. The Cardinals because of Pujols. But I don't want to be a bandwagoner. If only Indiana had a team. I could choose the Marlins or Rays since I'm in Florida now, but I don't like either of those teams.Indianapolis Colts
Indiana Pacers
Indiana Hoosiers

Re: Off Topic 2011
My jersey collection:
Team Canada Home & Away hockey jerseys
Vikings Away Adrian Peterson
Cavs Alternate (blue) LeBron James
Heat Road Dwyane Wade
Blue Bombers Alternate (gold) Milt Stegall
BTW the Wade and LeBron jerseys are 2 years old, making it all the more strange. I haven't worn them since You Know Who went You Know Where. I've been thinking about trying to sell the Wade jersey to any Heat wagon jumper I can find.
Also, I'm sorely lacking a Chargers jersey. I always wanted a powder blue LT jersey, but couldn't get one before he left in free agency. I'm still going to get it eventually, but I think I'm going to get a Rivers or Mathews jersey before that.
I know this wasn't directed at me, but I'm answering anyways.
For me, it's because it's too damn boring. And yes, I've tried to sit and watch many Jays games, but it's just not interesting to me. It's the same thing with NASCAR, I'm just not interested.
No, I don't have ADD either.Last edited by BlueNGold; 02-12-2011, 06:42 PM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Baseball is tough to get into though, just because if you're a casual fan watching on tv can be boring. I've always loved baseball, I watch every Reds game possible.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

This is similar to how I am with the NBA. One year I will somewhat follow it, then the next year not give a damn. Having a team helps that way you can begin to follow them, have favorite players, etc.

Re: Off Topic 2011
I *kinda* hopped around from team to team when it came to MLB. LSU baseball is #1, always has been, always will be, my dad says the reason I was born at night was because I had better sense than to interrupt a regional, lol (Birthday is May 20th.)
When I was young, after the college season was over, my dad would always put the Braves on while he read the paper on Sundays (I miss The Braves Station looking back), but I always thought I would pull for a more, localized, team. But I just wasn't interrested in the disAstros (glad I backed away from that commitment) nor the Rangers. I will admit, when I learned the full history of the Red Sox Curse, I began pulling for them hard to win the WS when it got close to the end. But really, If I pick up on the disAstros/Rangers game on everyday, how can I with learn to be a fan of the Sox?
But it deep install a Red Sox-like hate for the Yankees, though. And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
