So, if L.A. Noire is at all similar to L.A. Confidential, the game should be awesome.

I wanted to have a couple beers this evening while playing The Show/flipping on the basketball games. They don't sell beer in Minnesota on Sundays. Luckily Wisconsin is across the bridge. I take back 1 or 2 of the bad things I've said about Wisconsin. The state is actually good for something.

Re: Off Topic 2011
Just got a text from a friend. Apparently he was in LA planning to visit his wife who works in a skyscraper type office building. Shortly after he met with his wife the building was taken over by terrorists. My friend managed to escape, and the terrorists don't know he's there, so now he's going floor by floor and taking them out. He actually managed to get his hands on one of their radios so he can hear their communications and so he can keep in touch with the portly cop outside.
Also, he lost his shoes somewhere in this mess.
So now I find out that he finally cleared out most of the terrorists, and he ended up face to face with the head guy who had identified him and taken his wife hostage. They had a bit of a faceoff, ended up laughing at each other for a bit, and then my friend surprised the head terrorist with the gun he had taped to his back. Shot him right out of the window and he fell to his death.
True story.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
Restaurants, golf courses, etc. can serve it. I was talking strictly liquor stores.
To answer your question, mostly wine coolers and Zima.
So, yes, you can go to the bar, get completely wasted and drive home, but you can't go to the liquor store and grab a sixer to enjoy at home if you live in the middle of the state.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 03-20-2011, 07:30 PM.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
So I recieved a text from one of my friends I went to high school with in Chicago. Friday night, him and a cop came to a stop at a stop sign side by side. My friend pulled off 1st and the cop flashed his lights and pulled him over. Then on top of that radio'ed in for back up and within 2 minutes my friend was surrounded by 8 police cars....
After they searched his car, searched him, searched his wife and his kids.......they let him go. SMH
Chicago hasn't changed I see.Either...
a) your friend doesn't know even the first thing about his rights
or
b) this story is extremely exaggerated or even made up.
Your friend and his car can only be searched with consent or reasonable cause, and there is absolutely no way his kids were searched without his permission.
Oh, and the 8 cars thing is a blatant lie.
The ridiculous stories are getting old.
Reasonable suspicion = traffic stop
Search/arrest = probable cause
Backup is 100% necessary for what we do. We never know who is going to be in the car or what could happen.
Just another reminder: http://www.wbtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=14285625
"Malcolm Xavier Springs, 20, is charged two counts of attempted armed robbery, two counts of attempted murder, assault with a firearm on a law enforcement officer and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon."
