                            I think he hit it with the back of his goalie stick and made it curve like that. I think you can't see the back of the stick, because it blended in with the ice.

                                    My guess is that the puck's deflection off the pad caused a ridiculous amount of spin, causing it to change directions quickly once it hit the ice
