Re: Off Topic 2011
This woman pissed me off at work..
I helped her and her daughter replumb their bathroom toilets..
They have 1/2 in CPVC coming out of the floor and want to put a shut off valve in and run a new supply line to the toilet.
I give her three different options, the latter being the "new" shark-bite plumbing way.. compression fitting that slides over1/2 cpvc that's a shut off valve.. and has a 3/8 fitting coming off of it.. to hook a supply line to for the toilet...
I've been selling this **** for two years and never had a complaint..
she comes back and tells me it damaged her pipe.. doesn't want to do it either of the other two ways I showed her.. and wants to do some kind of bull **** rigging to get her water back to her toilet..
I tell her I've shown her the three options she has, with what we have to work with, and that's all I know to do.. without replacing any pipe..
she doesn't like my ideas, calls my last idea garbage, but still wants me to help her...
I hate retail sometimes..
I know that was some horrible grammar, but I had to type it in a hurry.. lolI've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: Off Topic 2011
Yeah I felt bad for the baggers. At my store I was one of the few high school students who wasn't a bagger, and everyone in my department was 30 or over but I didn't have any issues with them. My store had a party for me when I left. It was a good job to have and I liked the management.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

That shocked me.
Either way, I still shop at the Kroger that I was employed at. Granted, that was... 6 years ago at this point.Rose City 'Til I Die

I would have told her to hire a plumber then. Plumbing and electrical is one of those things you should really leave to a professional before you cause more harm then good.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
I looked on their website and apparently Foods Co (the store I referenced earlier) is Kroger but just named differently.
Kind like Hardees and Carls JR I guess.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Now I am sure decadeds later they probably have more in Chicago now, but for me as a kid, Chicago was a very closed market.Comment
