I hate playing good poker and losing. Went to the casino last night and played $1/$2 NL. I'm at about $130, and the other guy in the hand had about $225.

I have AJ

I was the big blind and raised to $8, everyone but the other doucher folds.

Flop: AQA

He bets $18, I raise to $50. He calls.

Turn: 9

He pushes all in. Three diamonds on the board, but there was no way he called a $32 raise with a flush draw. I feel like he has a queen or a weaker ace. I call.

His hand: A9

River was a blank. He was at about 10% to win that hand before that idiotic card came out. I have to be one of the unluckiest people on the planet. Not a single hand or time period where I thought "I could've played that better", yet I go broke on a suck-out.

If you think poker is strictly gambling with no skill involved, I have no idea what to tell you. If you go to a casino and play you'll quickly realize that that's not the case.

Yeah I hate playing cards and doing every thing right but losing anyway. It happens to me a lot in euchre too, where you can be infinitely better than your opponents but everything just goes their way and nothing you can do about it. Actually... I hate when life does that too

You're still playing the odds of the cards and their combinations. I'm not saying there's no skill involved, but it is still gambling.
