I been seeing that for most of the day.

How do you guys even notice those things? I guess I don't look at the top of the page much, since I barely notice the ad banners are even there.

For my collection, really..

I'm not an avid hunter like my dad and uncles, but I do love guns. I've got several hunting rifles, a henry survival .22 with a red dot site for target shooting, and an ar 15 (9mm)..

I've been wanting a 40 cal for a while, to replace my 9mm as personal protection and something new to shoot. I think a 45 is too big and 9mm has too fast of a fire rate..

I've been looking for a pistol for a while, like you I want a .40 I've shot the Glock 22 and the H&K USP .40 for about 100 rounds in each. When I make the purchase I'll go with the H&K, I like the feel in hand and I seem to get a bit better grouping with it. If you like the 9mm you might want to look into the 10mm, I haven't shot it personally but know a few who have and they ditched the 9mm or .45 they were previously using for the 10mm.

You guys with handguns, how much does a decent one cost? I'm thinking about picking one up because I don't live in the greatest neighborhood and both my parents are over 50.

The ones I've looked at are about $750-$1K depending on options. If you want one get it brand new, especially if you're not familiar with pistolas.
