Re: Off Topic 2011
This 17 year old kid was killed because he was doing 120 mph in upstate New York, not too far from my house. Car was going so fast it flipped over this parked pick up truck and landed on the car nose with the rest of car standing straight up in the air.
His 15 year old girlfriend survived the crash however.

Re: Off Topic 2011
But sadly, too many parents are too eager to push their kids off of them and buy them a car at the age of 16 just for the parents can have more free time to do what they want to do.
Should be a gradual process. You get your license, but you aren't allowed to drive at night time until you had your license for 3 months. Then you aren't allowed to drive on the highway until you been driving for 6 to 8 months.
Giving your kid a car at 16 with no ground rules and just say here, off you go, is just a recipe for tragedy. Especially with teenage boys. Teenage boys are full of hormones, eager to impress girls and compete with other rival boys.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
I think parents should just do a better job of teaching their kids how to drive and stop being so eager to buy their 16 year old a car. And start putting curfews of what time their kids are allowed to drive.

Re: Off Topic 2011
I guess I am weird. I always used to try and impress people by driving as smooth as possible.
I'm looking to get a new battery for my phone(Motorola Cliq 2) because the one I have now just dies way too often. I've recently started using my phone for a lot more than just texting like I used to. I get online, I have multiple apps running in the background, I do puzzles all the time now and my batter just can't handle it.
There were no batteries on the tmobile site for my phone, and I really don't know what I'm looking for. I just don't know if battery A is compatible or not, or if B is, what's better, etc. Seems like it would be simple to find a battery for my phone that would last a lot longer, but obviously it isn't simple for me.Last edited by canes21; 12-06-2011, 07:55 PM.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
