My brother in-law, who is a huge government conspiracy nut, think it is some kind eco weapon that was deployed into the air.
You guys remember that guy in the movie Tremors, that had all those weapons and bunker built in his basement ??? Welll my brother in law is the real life version of him. He got cb radios, police scanners, tons of dried food, etc.Comment

Also the bats who are the main eater of mosquito's and other viral carrying bugs are dying off from face fungus, etc from again, destruction to habitats.
Thus those insect populations are growing at an alarming rate, and what do we do? We spray them with chemicals which again pollutes the habitat.
We are growing too fast as a human population, and it is more detrimental to the habitats from all of our destruction for farming, cattle, wood, etc.
Maybe this is mother nature cleansing from an over abundance us ultimately.

I still think it is too little too late for the bees. We are destroying the habitats ultimately.

Re: What's up with the dead birds falling from the sky?
The world loses close to 5 billion birds a year. They say close to a billion are killed from flying into windows. With that many birds dieing each year we are bound to see a mass exodus at some point.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: What's up with the dead birds falling from the sky?
This is from a article I read. It seams this a regular occurance but is hardly ever mentioned.
WASHINGTON (AP) — First, the blackbirds fell out of the sky on New Year's Eve in Arkansas. In recent days, wildlife have mysteriously died in big numbers: 2 million fish in the Chesapeake Bay, 150 tons of red tilapia in Vietnam, 40,000 crabs in Britain and other places across the world.
Blogs connected the deadly dots, joking about the "aflockalypse" while others saw real signs of something sinister, either biblical or environmental.
The reality, say biologists, is that these mass die-offs happen all the time and usually are unrelated.
Federal records show they happen on average every other day somewhere in North America. Usually, we don't notice them and don't try to link them to each other.
"They generally fly under the radar," said ornithologist John Wiens, chief scientist at the California research institution PRBO Conservation Science.
Since the 1970s, the U.S. Geological Survey's National Wildlife Health Center in Wisconsin has tracked mass deaths among birds, fish and other critters, said wildlife disease specialist LeAnn White. At times the sky and the streams just turn deadly. Sometimes it's disease, sometimes pollution. Other times it's just a mystery.
In the past eight months, the USGS has logged 95 mass wildlife die-offs in North America and that's probably a dramatic undercount, White said. The list includes 900 some turkey vultures that seemed to drown and starve in the Florida Keys, 4,300 ducks killed by parasites in Minnesota, 1,500 salamanders done in by a virus in Idaho, 2,000 bats that died of rabies in Texas, and the still mysterious death of 2,750 sea birds in California.
On average, 163 such events are reported to the federal government each year, according to USGS records. And there have been much larger die-offs than the 3,000 blackbirds in Arkansas. Twice in the summer of 1996, more than 100,000 ducks died of botulism in Canada.
"Depending on the species, these things don't even get reported," White said.

Re: What's up with the dead birds falling from the sky?
Readers who worry that there's something nefarious afoot in the multiple reported bird die-offs in the nation this past week can take heart. There's actually excellent historical evidence that this sort of thing happens all the time, according to Randall Cerveny, a professor of geography at the School of Geographical Sciences & Urban Planning at Arizona State University in Tempe.
Much like everything else, the influx of instant news from the internet and bloggers who try to break news make things appear to be much more than they are.
Fish and birds die off in large numbers all the time. It's kind of odd to see this many in a short time, but by this point we're almost at "summer of the shark" territory. Now you have every report of a few dozen animals dying off which happens all over the world every single day further terrifying everyone.Comment

Im like holy crap all these birds dropped from the sky? this dude says its because of 2012, better go stock up on water. Then, everytime, theres some unfun, yet completely reasonable explanation for everything lol. And its always the last theory I read.Comment

I guess I'm a nut too because I wouldn't discount that. I try to keep my mind open to almost any explanation when it comes to this because I know there's an incredible of amount things that I don't know and am not told about as an average citizen.
I remember reading a few years back about weapons being developed for population control, only intended for humans because of how overpopulated the Earth is becoming. Things that would kill off large amounts of people without harming the environment. Maybe they're just testing it out on the animals first.
Edit: I wouldn't discount the "end of the world" ramblings either. Birds falling out of the sky, millions of dead fish washing up on the shores, Auburn's football team actually playing for a national championship not given out by the Lee County Boys Club, something's definitely up.Last edited by trobinson97; 01-10-2011, 12:59 AM.PS: You guys are great.
