    Midwest Blizzard 2011

I live in NW Indiana and we got hit HARD with the snow last night. There is a state of emergency here. I could barely get my front door open this morning, that's how much snow had drifted with the wind. For my fellow OSers going through this storm, be safe and good luck.

I guess we got lucky around here, it was only like the 4th highest snowfall this winter.

You all were too far north to get in on the real good action.

Meh, I live on the Shoreline in CT and we have already had 3 storms that were 16+ inches of snow. I don't have anywhere else to put it on my property LOL. There are mounds on the sides of my driveway that are 12+ feet tall... About 3 feet everywhere in my yard. I had to shovel my yard so my dog could go outside. He isnt a small dog either, I got a pitbull and he disappears everywhere lol. He just eats his way out though, he loves the snow.

Up in Menomonie, Wisconsin, we got a very light dusting from the north edge of the storm. Now it's just cold.

My hometown of West Allis (just outside Milwaukee) on the other hand...

In the northern suburbs of Chicago we got hit hard. 16'' in my area. It was extremely windy up here and snowed all night and most of today. It seems pretty calm now. When I drove home last night visibility was horrible.

                  Boo for it missing me.

I was going to have a nice NCAA 11 marathon going today. Instead, class.

Damn you, Mother Nature. Nobody likes a tease.

I can't believe how much this snow shutdown Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Lake Shore Drive is a parking lot and closed down still to this hour since there are people's cars stuck on there. What a damn mess.

I guess Mother Nature decided to give us a pass for having to deal with this mess last year.
