Are You Superstitious?

Just wondering if anyone believes in anything superstitious. Doesn't have to be black cats or walking under a latter. I for one am not really big on it and then at the same time I sorta am. For example, this afternoon I was in a Madden tournament and I brought this fortune cookie I got the last night as it said "You are talented in many ways." So I stuck that bad boy in my back pocket for the tourney and I made the final 8 out of 96 players.

Another thing I did was I wouldn't change anything about my clothes, take my jacket off, take my hat off, not carry my small back pack. Whatever I started playing with on, I played throughout the tourney with.

Anyway, was just curious to see if anyone really is big on it.

.....I'm a bit superstitious when it comes to sports stuff and OCD with a few other things. Can't think of a specific example right now.

In motocross I never wore the same color gloves as my gear (blue gloves, red jersey and pants). New helmet, dropped it onto the ground to get a good scuff before going out for the first time to prevent some whacky crash

Relating to video games, I do something with the analog stick before every pitch in baseball. I push it up, then pull it down, then to the right and then the left

I wore the same Clay Matthews shirt for the Packers entire six game winning streak to end the year. That's not so weird, here's what is weird though: I didn't wash it that whole time. Last time I washed that shirt was after the Patriots loss.

When I'm playing poker online and I win a big hand, I'll put the song I'm listening to on repeat until I start running bad, then I'll keep playing different songs until I find another lucky one.

I remember the 8 ball was popular back when I was in the 7th and 8th grade. I also remember my school prinicipal suspended kids who brought it to school too. But then again you also got suspended for bringing pagers to school when I was in the 7th and 8th grade.

I'm not too bad.

I bought a new AU hat and had it embroidered, before the season.

I wore it every Saturday, but wouldn't wear it any other time and I didn't wash it all season. I know washing hats isn't usually comparable to a shirt, but I worked a few Saturdays and it got some dirt on it.

I haven't put it on since the championship game and I may not ever wear it again.

Oddly enough, I did the same with my Tony Romo jersey as I was rooting on the Pack for every game of that streak. :-\

Not really superstitious more like OCD like symptoms like always having to sit in one particular chair if i'm having dinner at the table, always gotta wear Bills or Blue Jays related clothes whenever said team wins. I count color scheme in that as well, I don't wanna wear the same shirt for a week or two in the case of baseball LOL.

When it comes to sports big time. I break out my Brees jersey for big games only(6-1 with it including SB). I feel that if I don't watch the saints game on TV it's almost a given they will lose as the Saints are 0-7 when I don't watch over the past 2 years.

For the Seahawks game I had a very tough call over which Jersey to wear cause I was so superstitious, had to decide from my Brees, new Colston I has just gotten, or my old Colston which I wore for last years 2 playoff games and the phins game

For games, I always put my uniform, socks, and shoes on the same way. It's definitely weird because I put my jersey on, then my shorts. Always left sock, then right sock for some reason. So... yeah I'm superstitious, I normally wake up and do the same routine everyday too, or I feel out of place.

I did the samething with my AJ Hawk Jersey

During out last 6 games, I wore my Hawk Jersey(not washed), Packers' Scarf, Gloves and watched the game in the same room(my old room at my Parent's House)by myself and didn't come out until the next day each time.

And during that period, we went 6-0.

No, not at all. Well, there is this one Steelers shirt (pale yellow with steelers logo and old leather helmet) that I won't wear on gameday because they always seemed to lose when I wear it. However, I wore it when they played the Browns in the last game of the season because all my other t-shirts were in the laundry and they beat the Browns 41-9. I do have a first choice shirt or gameday though. Provided it's clean, I always wear a bright yellow Steelers shirt that I got from Sports Illustrated.
