Yea, I remember when it was less than $20 to fill up my car in early 2009. Oil prices plummeted is the direct influence on that, which was caused by the bear market that started in 07. There is a whole mess of stuff economically that went into it though and a mess to sort through.

Re: How much is the gas where you live?
$3.60 a gallon......but hey all my vehicles are hybrids so I only gas up once a month. And being that the gas station is partnered with the grocery store out here, I usually end up with 40 to 60 cents off a gallon just by buying groceries, so today instead paying full price, I paid $3.10 a gallon.Comment

3.35 where I work north of Raleigh, but I believe you're looking at nearer to 3.45 and higher as you get closer to city.
We are pretty low though because we have almost a brand new location and are still trying to build a customer base. Plus, we have Murphy's to deal with. For those that don't know, Murphy's is Walmart's fuel outlet, and they are able to keep prices really low.

Re: How much is the gas where you live?
Hmmm, seems to be the opposite here unless you get platinum because they jack the rate up on their high grade for some reason. BP plus is some of the cheapest in the area.Comment

Re: How much is the gas where you live?
Shell, Marathon, Texaco, Chevron, Love's, Pilot, etc. are all pretty competitive and similar and then BP will be 8-10 cents more expensive.Comment

Re: How much is the gas where you live?
Shouldn't that be backwards? How is the plus cheaper than the regular? And by regular I assume you mean 87 octane.
Anyway it's anywhere between 3.45 and 3.55 where I'm at(SW Florida). In the Fort Myers area it's the cheapest, but once you start going farther south into Estero and Naples the price goes up(those are the areas where all the old rich people are so I assume that's why it's that way).Indianapolis Colts
