It'll last. That's not that many miles on it. Take care of it and it shouldn't cost you much to maintain.

I'm not familiar with that year model Liberty, but the Cherokees around that year model suck something fierce. We have had several on our dealership lot and they all have the same issues with fuel injection and some electrical issues. I've yet to mess with one that hasn't.

I'm a fan of Jeep, too. We have some old army-style Jeeps that we trail ride.. whole lot of fun to play with. The motors themselves in Jeeps are built great.

Turned out not liking it. It rode nice, but the engine was pretty loud and I feel like that could become annoying after awhile

I found an '09 Saturn Vue for a good deal, but with Saturn being defunct I'm worried about cost if something were to need replaced. Apparently the Chevy Captivas are identical, but I'm not sure if the parts would be different or interchangeable.

Bringing my '08 Audi A4 to the shop some time this week to get it checked out. For some reason, about every 3.5K miles the oil light goes off. I bought it used through a certified dealership with only 23K miles on it (it has about 37K now)... It runs fine other than that though. I had to put a quart and a half of oil in it last time the oil light went off. Now that finals is over, I'll finally be able to get it checked. Hope it's nothing too serious!

Is it a turbo? I know you're supposed to change the oil every 3,000 miles or so anyway with turbo engines.

No it's not a turbo. And I had a recall on the car this past summer that I had accepted... They said it was supposed to fix the oil filter so that it wouldn't keep doing this (since this isn't the first time this has happened).

I know Audis have sludge issues - or it could just be a sensor.

Nope, I checked it last time it went off and it was really at minimum. I need to get into the habit of checking my oil every 2-3 weeks though... Scheduled an appointment for tomorrow at 11!

Audi S5 is so sick. My buddy just got an S5, my roommate just picked up a twin turbo bmw 335i. Both are comparable speed but man the s5 is just so nice inside.

I would go with the S5 though if I were to pick between the two because of the interior and I think its nicer looking.

I'm liking all the new Lexus's too. I would be in the market for one if I weren't moving to a place that doesn't need a car.

I could be wrong on this, but Saturn vehicles have a lot in common with Chevrolets. The Vue's interior shares some of the same style parts as a Chevy Equinox and Suzuki XL.

Just ebay some random parts for it and see if anything comes up that's compatible for any other major make. If so, then you should be good.

I know my SS Cobalt shared some parts from the Pontiac G6.. all GM parts. When I bought aftermarket headlights, it popped up "Will fit 06 Chevy Cobalt and Pontiac G6".

Seriously tho. I want an Audi so bad. Have my sights on an A6 for my next car.

Took my Maxima on it's first road trip to Milwaukee. Was very impressed with the gas mileage. Drove round trip which came to about 430 miles on one tank of gas. Didn't expect it to do that well on the highway.

I went to the dealership today to have it checked out, and they offered an oil consumption test which I kindly declined. The test is composed of 2 phases, phase 1 consists of them changing the oil and then I drive the car around 700-800 miles. And then I come back for phase 2, which consists of me leaving the car at the dealership for a whole week. And the service manager said that at most, they would find something wrong with it and have to change the piston rings for $2,000...

So I guess Audi's usually use up all their oil every 3-5,000 miles. Mine is around 3.5K, which is borderline...

My car is at 37,000 miles but it's already out of warranty. I'm somewhat contemplating trading it in next year for a Honda or something like that. I like the 2013 Accords. I know it would suck changing from German engineering to Japanese engineering though.

That's some cheap oil if it's max life is 3.5k.

Seems like the vehicle would require synthetic and most of it will easily last 6k miles or more. I figure they still suggest changing it ever 3.5k, though..

                              I've been putting synthetic oil.
