 Re: OS Cars Thread

My grandfather restored the truck. I'm not sure why he went this way and I guess I never thought about asking him. I do have the hood ornament and also the 3100 ornament's for the front fenders. Just not sure what look I like better. PSN : thorpe_66 PSN : thorpe_66

 Looks great that way.
I'm sure it would look great with the chrome too.
 Really nice ride....and fantastic restore.

 Re: OS Cars Thread

I wanted to get your guys' thoughts on something.

I'm planning on doing some red overlays/inlays to give my black WRX a little "pop." When I do this I'm also going to install some mudflaps.

How do you guys' feel about red flaps on a black car? I can't decide it it would be "too much" or not.

The Rally Armor flaps are what I will most likely end up with. Basically its between the red or the more subtle black w/ red lettering.

 Re: OS Cars Thread

@ Fresh, personally I like a little color contrast. If I had a black car with some red trim or other red on the car, like door handles, emblems, calipers. I would choose the red mud flaps.PSN : thorpe_66

Yeah, i love red and black colorway on cars. It could also look good with gunmetal/black rims with with a red trim

I have no idea, i just googled gunmetal rims with red trim and saw those. Personally i like Volk wheels but Rotas are good if you want to go cheaper.Comment

 Re: OS Cars Thread

They are fun, but not for a daily commute car imo. I had a 2001 TJ that was standard and it didn't have AC. It looked cool and I never got stuck, and because they are/were so basic, not too much could go wrong with them, but eventually everything does.

If you get stuck in traffic with any consistency, they are a bad car to be in imo.

Since selling it last year I replaced it with a white 2011 Mercedes-Benz GLK 350 w/ tan interior. Needless to say it's night and day. At this point I don't think I'd ever bother with a jeep again. MB stopped making the GLK as of last year, but if anyone wonders about it, it's a great car. 356hp too, it car really move!

Eventually when I save enough money and they are more mainstream in NA again, I'll be getting my favourite brand of car which is Alfa Romeo. I love them lol.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

 Re: OS Cars Thread

Welp, I put all the red accents and my mud flaps on last week. I had to do some creative wrenching, but I managed to keep the tires on while doing it.

I also took the dealer badge off since it's been bugging the **** out of me.
