The lime green waistband looks awful.

I actually like the mockups that That Guy posted. Nothing wrong with modernizing a logo. Much better than the cartoony looking Bucks logo that ubernoob posted and that looks like it was done on MS Paint.

I would have done a different color waistband, or one with stripes but that's too much work for a one minute MS paint job.

This was the old logo.



I just found one that incorporated the stripes. That logo lasted for 25 years, and was actually in use when the Bucks were a good team.

The thing is, that new mockup logo isn't "modernized." It looks like an outdated overly busy 2000 logo.

The bands look too much like the bands cycling uses on their World Champion jerseys, at least on the arms. I can't get that image out of my head looking at the bands you've got.

As for the Bucks, I was thinking some type of simple recoloring of minor parts to bring in the purple, while using old design.

Something like this for the whites.

Granted, I would make more tweaks, but I'm no photoshop whiz and there are some pixel issues that didn't recolor properly so some parts look crappy. I also realize I messed up on the colored shorts. They should look like the white ones, obviously with a color change where necessary.

Hmmm... I like where your head's at too. I just threw this together real quick:




I like the general idea that I have going, but there's something missing in here and I can't quite put my finger on what it is.

Edit: Also, just for ****s and giggles, I made one where I changed the colors to a bluish and a brownish (I wanted to try to find a way to incorporate brown since that's the color of deer/woods lol, and this shade of blue that I used is its "complementary" color).

Regarding the question of why are people so obsessed with including purple for the Bucks... for me, it's more just that I HATE the Christmas colors that we use now. I've never been a big red guy to begin with, but basically making our team look like Christmas every game is just bleh.

Edit x234234: Also, the more I look at it, the more I think it might just be better to have a plain solid template (meaning to get rid of the stripes on the side).

See, I'm partial to the stripes being untouched on the side as an homage to those old jerseys. I don't know what it is about them but I love them.

Same goes for the Astros BP jerseys with the rainbow guts tribute on the side. I love those.

I really like the Marquette style side stripes too. I think they should be on the shorts as well.
