Someone on Reddit redesigned every logo in the NFL. I really like several of them.

The difference is (the only one that I can figure) is that the helmet they use weekly, because I assume they wear the same one continuously for a period, is safer than one they wear only once a year, maybe twice. I can't figure out any other explanation. There must be something because that article doesn't reveal it all.

I'll just say this. As someone who worked in the sciences, if there is actually confounded research that shows it is safer, it's worth it to try. I think player's well being is more important than some silly uniforms at the end of the day. I want to hear more of course, but seems a little short sighted to just throw it out the window. It's not like the NFL just decided this; it was researched by someone.

And like I thought, this isn't true. It's to avoid lawsuits because players are currently wear obsolete equipment. They just don't want them wearing a different helmet and then blaming it if they get injured (though newer helmets are safer). Just the NFL covering its ***.

I can't imagine it's that hard to repaint their current helmets and get different decals if they want to do throwbacks, so I'm not sure much changes.

I hate that they've pretty much eliminated all signs of their mascot. I thought the turtle logo was awesome, too.

Then why not just outlaw the obsolete equipment. Oh geez, ridiculous.

I HIGHLY doubt all 32 teams can't afford two different helmets of the same caliber and specifications for each player. I can name 5 high schools in the Baton Rouge that do it every year. It's not like your'rebuying a brand new helmet, you can just re-fit them and certify them again.


Hell, I'm sure most, if not all, can afford 3. Regular, Alternate, and Practice.
