I despise ND's shoulder stripes. the most perfect thing you can put on a football uniform, the one thing that is near impossible to screw up, yet Adidas managed to do just that.

 Re: OS Uni Snob Thread

Those aren't necessarily "Adidas stripes". Back in the '50s/'60s which this fauxback is harkening back to Notre Dame had UCLA stripes

They do look kinda like Adidas stripes when not worn but that's because the UCLA stripes have been truncated on modern uniforms

 See what I mean?

But you are right they do look suspiciously Adidas-like and so I think Adidas took the opportunity to honor the history but try to sneak in their design element as well.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

 Perfection!

It's got an old school look to it but keeping a modern day aesthetic.

 I love em!

EDIT: here's a less cropped version of the photo:

 Better view of the helmet

The only disappointing news? Turns out no blue pants. I hope this changes at some point.Last edited by SPTO; 06-24-2011, 09:27 PM.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I like them too, though I think they should've gone with blue facemasks. As I've said before, I don't think gray facemasks look good on any helmet color except silver or gold.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

 Re: OS Uni Snob Thread

Buffalo now finds itself firmly entrenched among the best uniforms in the NFL.

If I used another team in Madden besides the Packers, I would strongly consider them because that's how much I love those unis. Unfortunately for them, it's Packers or die.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn
