I had to Google:

The custom digs are in support of the Lone Survivor Foundation, an organization founded in 2010 by retired Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell who "heroically survived Operation Red Wings, a mission to gather intelligence on Taliban leadership in Afghanistan."

The LSF was built on Luttrell's "Never Quit" attitude, and serves the mission to "RESTORE, EMPOWER and RENEW HOPE for our wounded service members and their families."

The Red Raiders' "Lone Survivor" uniforms feature specific designs related to the LSF:

• Winged design on the helmet and shoulders, meant to represent Operation Red Wings
• Custom "Never Quit" print for the helmet, shoulders of the jersey and pants
• Number 19 on the helmet and jersey patch, honoring the 19 soldiers who died during Operation Red Wings
• The jerseys will be auctioned off following the game, with 100% proceeds supporting LSF.

If the pants stripes weren't on the *** I wouldn't have a big problem with that uniform. Unfortunately that one element completely screws it up.

The fact those uniforms honor Marcus Luttrell make them one of my favorite uniforms in sports. If you don't know the story, google it. True hero.

I agree, looks like an incredible football or rugby kit.

You can call it soccer. Don't worry.

It would look pretty good, if you take off the giant logo in the middle and moved it to over the heart. Would end up looking like something Leeds would wear.

Those are hideous. The meaning might be amazing, but it doesn't stop the uniforms from being ugly.

Not quite uniform related but it's in the same ballpark. The Raptors are joining the Pacers as the only teams in the NBA to have advertising on the floor as they signed a 5 year (I think) agreement with BMO to have their logo somewhere on the floor.
