This clearly validates what a genius I am.

In the Sports Sales and Sponsorship class I took my final semester at Towson, my sports property of choice that I wrote all the term papers on was Notre Dame Football.

"What did you write about?" I hear you ask. One of my homeruns in the final paper was the use of Under Armour as a corporate level sponsor once the Adidas deal ended. Yes, of course I mentioned the Under the Lights game in my analysis.

I'll go ahead and send my resume with said term paper attached. I'm sure I'll become Swarbrick's successor soon enough.

Under Armour will definitely treat the Notre Dame brand a lot better than Adidas IMO. I wasn't one of the loudest critics of Adidas but some of the stuff they trotted out was....not good.

Under Armour will definitely treat the Notre Dame brand a lot better than Adidas IMO. I wasn't one of the loudest critics of Adidas but some of the stuff they trotted out was....not good.

UA is pretty good with the more classic looking uniforms (Auburn, Boston College) so Notre Dame will definitely be fine there. Unis will still be tighter than Nike, but it's not TechFit tight so I think that will automatically make them better looking.

Sometimes when I complain about uniforms these days I then get reminded that uniforms back in the day weren't always the greatest. Case in point, a game i'm about to watch this week:

Oh my goodness... those Hawk unis were positively hideous. I'm really glad I was hardly old enough to remember them. Fun fact though, the QB in that picture is Matt Sherman (Or at least, I'm pretty sure it is), who attended the same HS I did and still holds a ton of Iowa HS Passing records.

You're correct that is Matt Sherman. He had a pretty good game in the telecast I watched though it was the Sedrick Shaw/Tavion Banks show. It was a really entertaining game as for most of the game neither team could stop each other.

It's a non-functional helmet with a chrome chin strap.

I think it's safe to say it's just some fantasy helmet.

You're correct that is Matt Sherman. He had a pretty good game in the telecast I watched though it was the Sedrick Shaw/Tavion Banks show. It was a really entertaining game as for most of the game neither team could stop each other.

He went on to back up Kurt Warner when he was with the Barnstormers... never panned out the way people thought he would, which was unfortunate, but he was still a good QB. Him and a TE who was a career NFL backup (who holds the distinction of being the first player in NFL history to score a TD on his first NFL reception) are my high school's claims to fame.
