I actually like Oregon's PC's, and I've disliked 95% of the Pro Combat uniforms, though I am a sucker for black and that shade of green(close to it anyway) combination. Boise's are decent, it's hard to screw up an all white look, even for Nike.

Isn't Boise's the same as last year, just with a different helmet?
I like them both. Kind of. Slightly better than meh. Though I could do with Nike getting rid of the **** around the collar.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Yeah, helmet was blue last year. But IIRC, they had some issues with the decal not adhering to the shell that Nike had designed or something like that so the logo was actually on their regular blue shells.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Re: OS Uni Snob Thread
I love Oregon's. It goes great with their already great matte black helmet.
I know a lot of people seem to not like Oregon's uniforms, but I love them. My only complaint is I'm not a big fan of the grey. I don't mind the carbon helmets or steel pants, but I don't like the silver wings on the green and black jerseys or the silver numbers on the yellow or black jerseys. If the wings/numbers were all yellow or green, or even black, I think they'd be fantastic. This uniform takes care of that complaint, so I'm happy. I think this has been Oregon's best set. I'm a little sad to see it go after this season.
Btw, earlier (way earlier) in the thread, someone was talking about the neon green in the Seahawks jerseys. I don't know how the rest of the country sees it, but for whatever reason, people in the Northwest love it. I see almost as many neon green Seahawks jerseys as blue ones (and more than white ones) and they've worn those one time. Sounders stuff is all over the place, and it's always the neon green stuff. The Mariners have been coming out with fashion hats featuring the color (my favorite is the black hat with the old-school trident "M" in the neon green). The green isn't going anywhere.Comment

I view the Seahawks green unis like I view the black Lions jersey. I like it by itself, but when its part of the whole uniform, it sucks pretty badly. Granted, Seattle's green jersey would be better if their helmet was the darker blue. That's what killed that uni for me. I love the neon green though, one of the few things I like about the Seahawks.Btw, earlier (way earlier) in the thread, someone was talking about the neon green in the Seahawks jerseys. Re: OS Uni Snob Thread
Yeah, the "Seahawk" blue helmet, green jersey, navy blue pants combo didn't work at all. I thought they should've used white pants - I thought that would've looked a ton better. If the NFL would let teams use alternate helmets, a silver helmet would've looked nice. The Seahawks will be the first team with new uniforms with Nike next year, but they aren't changing their logo or colors. I've never been a huge fan of Seattle's unis, mostly the numbers and the sleeves. They're okay (and I like the monochrome look), but they could be a lot better.Agreed on all points.

I present to you perhaps one of the classiest uniforms in college football with perhaps one of the most interesting origins.

It looks like a mishmash of Penn St. and Alabama, very nice uniform too! So what is the origin of the uniform design?Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: OS Uni Snob Thread
When GSU resurrected their football program in 1981, the money was tight. So the coach just ordered solid blue helmets, along with plain blue and white jerseys. When they arrived, he had the players put a strip of white tape down the middle, seeing as that was the only "decoration" they could afford. Since then they've adapted the numbers to differentiate the players.Boston Red Sox
