 Re: OS Uni Snob Thread

There will be a time where there's ads on NFL uniforms. Book that.

EDIT: I feel like I already said that in this thread somewhere. Or somewhere on OS anyway.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 07-10-2011, 07:42 PM.Comment

 Re: OS Uni Snob Thread

I know i've said similar on here. The CFL already has ads on their uniforms and have had them for 15 or so years IIRC.

The NFL already has sponsor tags/patches on training camp uniforms and in preseason so it's only a small leap from that to wearing them during the season.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I just don't see it happening. The NFL makes so, so much money every year. They don't need the revenue for jersey ads. It'd cost them a bunch in replica jersey revenue also.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

So that's why the Seahawks brought out those lime green alternates? They were hoping it would bring them luck?Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Remember that you're talking about the same greedy ******* league that's locked out because they don't know how to properly split their billions and billions of dollars properly.

But I think the NBA will be the first to do it. Hell, I could see the NBA doing it coming out of their lockout.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

The WNBA already does it, so clearly they're flexible on that idea.Remember that you're talking about the same greedy ******* league that's locked out because they don't know how to properly split their billions and billions of dollars properly.

I think it's a last resort for the big 3, though. I think replica jersey sales outdo the potential money for ads on a jersey.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

 Re: OS Uni Snob Thread

Part of the reasoning behind it is that you change your sponsor every few years so all the fans have to buy the new one to be up to date. It's such a money-making propect that I can't believe all the major sports here don't already do it. This is pretty much the only country where they don't do it. I'm not saying I want it, it's just that I feel like it's inevitable.

EDIT: The replicas would have the ads as well.Comment

 Re: OS Uni Snob Thread

People actually wanted them, its not terrible by itself, but it doesn't work as a full uniform. A big part of that is that the helmet doesn't match the rest of the uniform when they wore it. Plus it was like the sunniest day when they wore it so they were even more bright than normal.

Speaking of the Seahawks, their alternate logo that you will only see at the stadium really is still one of my favorites.

Also I'm with ITT on the jersey ads. Although I do feel that the NBA would do it before the NFL as well. Possibly even the NHL.Last edited by TracerBullet; 07-11-2011, 02:47 PM.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

 Re: OS Uni Snob Thread

Yea I haven't heard about it.. I remember there being like an American Football Junior World Championship or something like that but not a "World Cup" that no one cares about. I'm more into the Women's World Cup right now and I don't like soccer/futbol nearly as much as american football..Chicago Bulls | Chicago Bears | Chicago White Sox | Chicago BlackhawksComment
