I was running errands, so I was driving in it like regular. It was basically driving in the rain. I went back to work the next day only to find that the office had closed the previous day because of the "dangerous" conditions. I was like, "the same dangerous conditions I was driving in all day???"
When I was a kid I loved that. I remember one time Char-Meck closed school down for Hurricane Floyd because they though that it was going to track further inward. The next day, it was sunny, 65 and windy, best day ever!

After today, just 9 days until the big move!

We went down earlier this week and found an apartment. It's not in the absolute best area, but the apartment complex is incredibly nice... it's almost like living on a country club. The apartment comes with an alarm system, the complex sits back pretty far off the road, and there is always a member of Greenville PD in the complex so I'm not incredibly concerned about safety... I think we'll be OK.

I'm really looking forward to this. It will be a welcomed change.

We were talking about the weather with one of the girls that was showing us an apartment. She was like "yeah, we got six inches last winter." Now, when someone says they got an amount of snow up north, they mean in one particular snowfall. I didn't realize she meant THE ENTIRE WINTER... lol. I was like "yeah, we got two feet at once"... lol.

We in the south don't know how to deal with snow. As a rule.

One more thing.. if there's any kind of "winter weather advisory" there will be no bread or water available at any grocery store. I don't know why people buy those items, but it never fails.

Because we might never get back out of the house. Gotta make sure we have the necessities.

Agree with everyone above, one inch of snow = ghost/panic town around here.
