Now me and the lady we eat a ton of fish (I guess you can imagine lol). At least two times a week. So I'm in constant rotation of older being eating and restocked with newer.

For instance my take this weekend was around 20lbs of fillets and two dozen crabs.

Yesterday I boiled the crabs, then took two redfish fillets, some green onion, spices, and butter then diced them together to make a seafood paste. I then baked 4 potatoes, took them out, split them and removed nice cavity, then took seafood paste and stuffed bake potatoe. Lastly baked them another 15 to give good crust with cheese and sour cream on top with side of about half dozen boiled crabs. Talk about gooooooood!

    Sent from da lil phone.
    Nice!

Didn't think about vacuum packing, that definitely helps...

So Phobia, after a long day on the river, do you have water seeping into the kayak because of all the fish you've caught? lol

lol, its a sit on top so literally there is 10 holes in the kayak (4 in front, 2 under seat, 4 in rear). You could not sink it if you tried. The holes allow water to splash over the side or bow if you cut through a wave then it is sucked out the bottom holes. So it is literally impossible to sink unless you deliberately did something to make it sink.

I get a ton of water in consistently from fish and waves breaking over the kayak.

For instance here is look at holes from top and bottom view

What I really wanna do is go fly fishing for Tarpon out the kayak

Still not crazy enough to go after big sharks, I've caught small ones out the yak but nothing over 2 foot yet. As you can see to the kayak is filled with water but the moment he takes the shark off the top it will pop back up and be empty of water.

Holy hell. There is absolutely no way I'd pull that shark up on my kayak. No way.

Posted this in off topic, but meant to post in here. Popped this rascal from my canoe this weekend. She was coming at the boat with her head about six inches above the water. Must've had her bed nearby, as it appears she had recently laid.

On a lighter note, caught 14 bass and two crappie. Largest bass was just shy of four pounds. They all were eaten that night, ha!

Damn that is a monster moccasin!! That has been the only issue I have had in the kayak, I've had several occasions where a moccasin has come for the kayak to try and get inside. Most of the time they are so damn stubborn, you can smack the **** out of them and they keep on coming back trying.

Nice catches! I want to get out this weekend coming but I am in a wedding Saturday. Plus the following weekend, I'm taking the kayak and going hit Toledo Bend!!

Damn, I haven't seen a cottonmouth that big in a long time. Did you get a measurment(pause)? Biggest one I've seen in a natural setting was between 5-6 feet.

It doesn't shock me at all that they come right for the kayak. Skiing on the rivers on Virginia and even at Lake of the Ozarks, they are not afraid to swim after you.

From nose to tail, she was five feet, eleven inches. Longest moccasin I've killed yet.

I'll be in Gulf Shores this weekend and through next Wednesday. I may do some fishing from my cousin's kayak (we're taking my wife's car), but I'm not sure. I'll certainly be surf fishing every night, regardless. We plan to take our bay boat out and go after some reds and trout. We're also bound to snag a black tip somewhere in the midst of it all, I'm sure. They're notorious for intercepting a struggling white or speckled trout here and there.

Do you have any limits on the amount you can take? That boat full of catfish seemed a little excessive IMO.

I'm a catch a release fisherman myself though, so I guess we are kinda from 2 different schools.

I am heading to Canada in a few weeks to chase pike and Wally's. last time I was at this lake pulled out a 52" Pike. Good times.

Nice!!! I been wanting to go and target just blacktips but have not made it a priority yet. To often I rather go after reds

All catfish are sold, those fish were not for one person. What is excessive about it? This is how you go to the store and buy catfish from behind the counter??? If someone is wasting food I can see a concern, but if someone follows the regulations set by the wildlife and fishery and eats his take where is the wrong doing?

I also practice catch and release, one of my largest bass went 7 pounds and it was released after being weighted.

Now as for a regulations, all are followed to the T.

Reds - 5 per person with only 1 over 27"
                      Specks - 25 per person
Bass - 5 per person and size limits vary on lake from 12" to 16" min normally
                      Sac-a-lait - 50 a day
                      catfish - no limit
                      flounder - 10 per person
black drum - 5 per person

Wow that is creeping towards longest recorded range. That one was found in Great Dismal Swamp either in VA or NC. It measured 6'2.

Wasn't taking a shot at you, just wondering about what the limits where. Was unaware that was a commercial outfit so to speak.

You obviously are a standup fisherman

Yea it was one of my buddies we went run their trout lines. They catch 300lbs of catfish or more a night. Run their lines each weekend, they make damn good money doing it also.

Didn't think it was a shot at me, just didn't understand the thought of it being done as "wrong doing" so to speak I guess. I think we on same page
