 Re: Bin Laden is dead!

Not really, the youngest they'd be would be 8. I was 12 when 9/11 and I still remember the impact it had on the U.S. They might've been kids then, but most were old enough to grasp the situation.

I get it that college kids party all the time, that's the tag that's been applied to them, but college kids come up with any excuse to party. This is an event that a lot of people have celebrated (or are still celebrating) so why not join in?Comment

 Re: Bin Laden is dead!

I personally think the college kids can't have fun is a bogus argument. I am a college kid. I was woken up at 2am last night by kids outside screaming, USA! USA! My first reaction was, WTF you idiots shut up! I ha no clue what was going on, but now I do.

I was 9 years old when it happened. It was significant to me because my father, just like Knight, is a NYC firefighter, and I personally remember going to a funeral for one of my dad's best friends who was one of the first responders.

A few years ago, CBS released a documentary that was supposed to be 2 French guys following and filming a firehouse. Well on that day, they followed them down to Ground Zero and the cameras were rolling. There is a part where my dad's friend was on camera. It was surreal.

 Re: Bin Laden is dead!

I say most are celebrating because the guy responsible for killing over 3,000 Americans on American soil and countless others around the world, the leader of Al-Qaeda, is dead.

 Re: Bin Laden is dead!

Am I the only skeptic here? Did they show you pictures of the body? They went out of their way to show you proof of Saddam's death. Did they show you anything other than give you a story? And just because they told you the story as to how it went down, we all know the government outright lies. Remember the football player that was killed by friendly fire? What was his name? Anyway. Seriously, what beleive every single thing the media tells you?

I've seen no proof. We've just been fed a story and all of a sudden, it's the truth?

Are we really going to buy the lie that he was buried at sea, immediately within 24 hours? Seriously, no one took a snapshot? Just a quick snapshot? To be given to the president as proof? Not even to you and me, but to be given to the president, the commander in chief as proof?

Ice Cube has a great saying for not letting the media dupe us time and time again, when he said to "Chiggidy check yoself before you wreck yoself"Comment
