    Re: June 17, 1994

I was one. I swear I was born 3 or 4 years late.

But knowing my dad, there is a VHS of the chase somewhere.

I remember sitting around the TV at home watching the Chase. I was 12.

Also remember the whole school gathered around TVs for the Verdict in the Trial also. Crazy to think that happened.

June 17, 1986. Len Bias drafted by the Boston Celtics.

25 years ago today...less than 48 hours, he was dead.

I was in High School during the verdict and literally seconds after it was made people were milling about in the hallways and the only thing being talked about was the verdict. It was kinda strange and surreal to see an entire HS so enamored with that story.

Also the trial was a damn gravy train for Geraldo. He used to have a talk show on CNBC and every single night was devoted to the trial. I used to watch it religiously actually. I kinda wish I could find some tapes of that somewhere.

My middle school did the same for us. No way a school would allow that to happen again.

I was drunk that whole week. Graduation Week in Myrtle Beach.

I don't even remember the Finals. But, I remember this drama.

I was in school when the verdict came down. If I recall correctly, it was around the time of the "Who Shot Mr. Burns?" episodes of The Simpsons, lol.

I was a few months from being 5 years old, so I don't remember much of anything.

I remember both events very well. Bias has his whole life in front of him and it was gone two days later. Very sad indeed.

It was big back then because there was no internet, cell phones, texting, etc..... Maybe internet was just starting, can't recall when it came in.

Yep, was watching The Dream shake fools silly and they kept interrupting it. Also a seven year old remembering everything from that day completely blows me.

I was pissed as well at the beginning too, I was 16 at the time, a minute or two into it the coverage I was into it.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!
