    Re: Before they were famous...

My dad's friend supposedly stole Big Daddy Kane's girl in high school.

I've got a boatload of relatives and friends that went to high school with Delonte West.

Devon Smith from Penn State is my cousin. haven't talked to him since he got to PSU though.

And my aunt saw Kevin Durant (who also went to the high school I go to now) at a Chipotle, but didn't know who he was.

Then how did she know it was Kevin Durant.

I know literally zero famous people and you know what, I'm ok with that.

Good question. She had a friend with her who could identify him.

I went to high school with former Pitt pg Lavance Fields and current Providence pg/sg Vincent Council.

I also saw Wes Johnson on campus once. He is tall as hell and has a deeper voice than you'd expect.

I met Shaggy at the height of his fame. For some reason he came over to see my dad's house at the time. 10 years ago.

I saw Andy Rautins on campus last semester and was wondering wtf was he not with the Knicks that day???

I thought this thread was about people you knew BEFORE they got famous, not famous people you just happened to see once, or someone you met after they were already well known...

I am friends with this girl who is a prodigy in rock right now, she is working with the same producer who did Lady Gaga... and will be huge pretty soon. Right now she does a lot of local shows.

Her guitar skills are amazing, she can play pretty much any solo out there, from Eddy Van Halen to Randy Rhodes. And she is only 17, soon to be 18.

Early reviews of her work in magazines are calling her the next Avril, only BETTER.

My Dad wrote Snakes on A Plane. Its sounds like this should be a joke, but its true. He and Samuel L. are boys.

Ok, she may not be famous.....YET. But, she's well known in Hawaii, and has appeared on America's Got Talent. Wait a couple more years, and I'm sure she'll be a sensation!

Nice, a friend of mine did Manny's HVAC work in his house when he signed with Boston, and gave him a bunch of autographed cards and balls, which he then gave to me because he was a Yankee fan,

I live in the same town as Aaron Rodgers. I haven't seen him around town but a couple people I know live by him and have seen him around. I go to the same High School he went to too.

Went to high school with Bills wide receiver Marcus Easley and Rutgers WR, and probably future NFL WR Mark Harrison. Not great friends with either, had some classes with Easley, seemed like a good guy. In high school he was pretty much just a good HS player, wasn't highly recruited, he walked on at UConn. Never thought he'd go pro. Harrison played pick up with him in a couple different sports a few times, my brother knew him better from track. This dude was a freak of an athlete, and was a 3 star recruit, academic questions kept him from being recruited a lot harder. He's going to be a junior, had a big year last year as a sophomore

Also, didn't know him or anything, he was like 10 years ahead of me, but the guy who just won the voice went to my high school. I remember my freshman year he had just gotten a record deal and he came back and had a concert at my school. He had a couple albums but his label dropped him, but we'll see what happens now that he just won the show.
