I thank OS for allowing me to sharpen my grammar and articulation. I learned how to argue and debate rationally through this website, ya know.

Yeah, along with Keirik the tune file wiz...those of us who played that game really went to incredible lengths to make it more realistic (and the great thing is that we had so much control over tweaking that game).

Re: Your first post EVER on OS

My first was concerning the MLB 2K5 game...I had lurked for a while looking for NFL 2K5 stuff (I came here looking for info after reading a preview for the game that mentioned Operation Sports).

I like everyone else was tired of seeing the vacumn pitchers who eliminated any balls up the middle as well as the all the web gems, but I wasn't ready to go through and edit all the fielding ratings. Instead I lowered the fielder speed for the computer and myself to 10 without using any speed burst. I have actually been quite pleased with this. The pitchers only get 1 or 2 balls a game and there are now a realistic amount of balls back up the middle, the 3B and 1B field a lot more balls since the P isn't getting to them, and you see a big difference in and OF with range and one without (I can still run things down with Andruw Jones, but Manny isn't going to get to very many). I also am having only 1 or 2 web gems a game. The one thing I still can't figure out how to fix is getting the 3B and 1B to charge on a bunt. That is my biggest gripe with the fielding. You can square around and they don't even move. Ridiculus. Just thought I would mention that I tried this in case anyone else didn't feel like editing all the player ratings.

Probably forgot to change the results from descending to ascending.

                    Here's mine:

Nothing impressive. I've just always been a man about animations, especially layup and dunk ones and Live had a history of recycling them year in and year out.

I rented NFL 2k3 and it didn't come with a manual. Was looking for help on the defensive controls. Dang that was a long time ago.

Ryan Howard and Chipper Jones, hard to think of others since I mainly play as the Marlins in the NL East

I'm experiencing a whole new game. The way the CPU AI reacts and chooses plays is incredible. I also agree of how the momentum is gradual and not instant. Where as instead of one big play being the catalyst to momentum, a nice 10 play drive for 80 yards does just fine and hurts just as much to the opposing team.

Now as for your slider specifics. For one, my RB was over 100 in the first half - that's a no-no as I was using FAU's Divory Edgecomb - who is good, but not that good when you're playing against a top Clemson defense. So here's what I changed for both CPU and AI.

Minutes: 6 (Rushing yards were getting out of control)

                              RBA (HUM/CPU) : 80/80
                              RBLK: 44/90

This is getting some very consistent results. The CPU's running game has improved and now it's a very strategy-based approach for me rather than just mashing buttons in the play call screen.

I'm about to play the game (dynasty) for FAU (me) at Clemson. Will keep ya up to date. Take care and good work.
LOL, figures it'd be in a sliders thread. On NCAA 2007 nonetheless.

My problem is almost the same thing but for some odd reason I cant figure out how to actually remove a player from red-shirt status and insert them into my actual 12 man roster. Anyone know how to do this? I just cant seem to figure it out and now i have to carry a player thats out for the year, any help would be greatly appreciated.
