ND, its tough as a pitcher to throw a football. Im not sure where your arm slot was when you pitched but the best way I can describe it is throwing like a catcher throwing a curveball, but instead of snapping it off you roll it off. If that makes any sense at all.

I was a catcher/3B and I pretty much was able to pick up throwing a football naturally without to many adjustments.

Keep in mind though, I never really played QB at a high level lol. So what do I know.

I played WR and S and catching a tight spiral is a lot easier than catching a ball that slightly wobbles. If you learn the technique to throw a spiral every time your WR's will love you.

Went 0-10 my sophomore year in HS because our QB could only throw semi-accurate balls 25 yards or less. Other things factored into the record, but i believe that was the main reason.

As many of you know, I've stated I was a pitcher in college so my arm strength is there. I am having one heck of a time throwing a "good ball" with regards to a tight spiral. It is very inconsistent and I need to find some way to improve this area.

The issue is with my short/intermediate passes as my 20+ yard passes spiral just fine.

Do any of you have resources that would help? I know we have some football coaches here and former players...although not many have stated they were QBs.
Played QB my whole life, and I can tell you the most important thing no one talks about in relation to QB play is "Grip".

I used too only use my pinky and ring finger on the laces and as I got older I began using all my ring finger...as well as sliding down.

It makes a huge difference on velocity. Spirals will come.

          Good stuff

The grip is definitely something I need to work on

          Random question:

All of this might be put on hold if the inside of my left knee doesn't stop feeling "weird". Some Google research shows the area I'm concerned about is my MCL. I can run, cut, and lift...however...after sitting for a while is gets tight/sore in that area.

What the heck is going on?

Also when I fully extended my leg and flex I can feel a slight irritation in that spot as well.

          It's freaking me out
