"Inception" isn't a concept. It's literally a word.

And I'm not sure what you mean by being mentioned with something within the same something but it seems to be being used correctly in your general example.

In the movie, Leonardo's character suggests to his crew to try "inception" which is planting an idea in a person's sub conscience within a dream. They had already tried to get information out of a person's sub conscience by 'dream-sharing' or whatever they call their method. So the title of the movie is referring to planting an idea, rather than having a dream within a dream.

A recent example of what actually sort of bothers me:

In a group message, I share a picture of Johnny Cueto on the SF Giants wearing a hat of himself wearing the same hat which also has johnny cueto wearing the same hat on it....Some one comments "inception." It could very well be that this person just meant "like in the movie inception" and I could be bothered by absolutely nothing. This probably says a lot more about me than the people who use the word like that

I played Madden the other day. I created myself as a QB. But I quit after one game because I threw 6 inceptions.

When I'm in conversation with someone, be it personal or on the job, and they start their sentences with "Anyways" more than once in the conversation. They may not mean to be condescending or rude, but it comes across that way [to me, at least] more often than not.

Seems like stan has become a popular term. I think it basically refers to a superfan of a celeb(stalker +fan?), basically originated from the Eminem song.

One that bothers me somewhat is when people on TV have to mention the twitter handle/name of someone. If someone is mentioning a random fan tweet online during a Q&A or something, can't you just read the question and that's it? Instead of being like "@OperationSports_123 tweets in....". Or simply read their name(if they have an actual name that goes along with their weird handle).

Or when they're reading tweets in general, they mention the handle instead of the name of the person, and have to read out all the hashtags too.

Lets say some sports insider tweets something. The message could say "As first reported by @RealJohnSmith, Carmelo will be joining LeBron in LA. #Lakers #LakeShow".

Then on TV, the reporter will read off the tweet on TV and then be like "As first reported by at Real John Smith, Carmelo will be joining LeBron in LA. Hashtag Lakers. Hashtag Lakeshow." Can't you just say the name of the person, and not read those hashtags?

This is a bit of niche one, but when traveling for work, I hate when people say 'have fun' or something otherwise implying that it's going to be a vacation. As anyone traveling for work knows, no matter what the destination is, it's not a friggin' vacation. Farthest possible thing from it, actually. If I could send someone else to do all my travel for me, I gladly would.

Somewhat similar to that, when people have to state the obvious in moments where it clearly doesn't need to be stated (EX-If it's raining outside and you didn't take an umbrella. The moment you walk inside, someone will be like "You're soaking wet!". Thanks captain obvious, I didn't know that...). The types of comments where you're just sarcastically thinking in your head (and maybe even saying out loud) "No kidding" or "What gave it away...".

I actually am a protein chemist.


No im not lol. I watch a lot of documentaries and lately i have heard it more than usual. You know how you never hear a word, then all of the sudden you hear it several times in a week? That.

Plus, with that word, it only took once lol. The very first time i ever heard the word Globular it got on my nerves.
