I know its overkill to do dual monitors whether its being used for two different things or just one, but again it was just an idea....whatever goes, I definitely want a cool experience whether playing games or watching them... seeing something on a 100 inch screen in your house on the wall is nuts though
I gotcha. Having side by side screens definitely gives you options. Can't find the link, but remember reading a story about a guy that donated plasma for a year to finance having like 12 plasma HDTVs custom installed. All had separate directv feeds so he could watch all the NFL games on Sunday ticket without having to change the channel.

With screen sizes getting bigger and bigger, I always wondered why the removed the Picture in Picture (or Picture Beside Picture) options. I loved that on my "old" Vizio LCD.

Now the extra multi screen option tv is really doing too much lol, but its a similar concept

Its going to be my own entertainment room..gives me a chance to chill when watching games or recordings on the dvr or relaxing playing games... im pretty sure Batman AC is going to look really nice on there with the sound bar surround kicking

Possibilities is all im saying, but still not ruling out the one big tv either... saw a real nice one at bestbuy this weekend when I was out window shopping lol, but it wasn't much. I thought those things went into the 2k and up range but it wasnt

TV prices have dropped a lot in the past 2 years. What I paid for one of my TVs 3 years ago, I can buy a LED version of it for the same price now.

I know Apple Valley, Pheland, Hesperia, Lenwood, Barstow, etc are all much worse areas until you at least get down the mountain toward Ontario or San Bernadino. All in all, that place sucks all around, cant think of a good place out there come to think of it.
We keep trying to get Nevada or Arizona to take that region from us, but they won't. That region has no redeeming value at all. It's embarrassing it's considered part of California.

Ontario isn't bad, but at that point you're basically in Los Angeles for all intents and purposes.

Pretty much true about Ontario and on in from there, but I dont know how much of the desert you'd consider not a wasteland anyway

I understand what you mean though, the kind of folks that have moved out that way now make whatever nice homes that way out not even worth the price of admission

My brother lives in La Verne and we have a couple of sites in Ontario so I am more familiar with that area than I used to be.

One day I'll tell you about the fun filled week I got to spend in Mojave at our office out there. Talk about out in the middle of nowhere.

Re: For all of you guys who are homeowners or newly owned

Speaking of houses, listen to how my weekend went.

So I come home from work Friday and my fiance says "Babe, what is that smell?" Well I went straight to my man cave in the back the house when I walked in and never smelled anything. So she says come to the laundry room.

I walk in and it smells like eggs, confused at what the hell the smell was I could not figure it out. It did not smell like a dead animal smell. So I told her to head to the store and pick up a view items, big thing of bleach, new mop and bucket, etc. I'm going to clean the room and see if I can locate the smell.

Well then my mom calls and says she is in town she wanted to stop by and say hi. So when she got there I said, come check this out and tell me what you think it could be. Well she is walking round the room and she steps in the corner and water shots out from UNDER the floor.

Now this is one of the last rooms in the house that I have yet to touch for remodeling. I have all the floors for this room but with the deep freezer, washer, dryer, hot water tank, etc I have just been putting it off. So this room still had the old linoleum floors.

So I grab the corner of the linoleum seeing if I can check under it and the entire thing just pulls right up. This is when I also found out there was title under it. They just put the linoleum on top the old tile.

Well under the linoleum is like 3/8th" of water covering the entire floor. But get this ZERO water on top the linoleum. So now I am really confused and trying to figure out HOW WOULD WATER GET UNDERNEATH??????

So now I spent all day Saturday ripping out everything from the room and getting down to bare concrete so I can find the problem.

After getting everything ripped out but the hot water tank, I discovered the problem. There is 3 legs on the hot water tank. They bolted the legs to the bare concrete and then tiled around the legs and did same thing with the linoleum. So the legs ran straight down to the concrete, well the bottom of the tank has now formed a crack and the water is running down the legs. Then it was running under the floor instead of on top so this is why we never noticed the problem until most likely several weeks to late.

Now I have to spend $400 to $500 on a new hot water tank............Grrrrrrrreat!

                  **Fun Fun**

Phobia man that sucks... I saw some tanks from 3-$500 at Lowes this weekend... check it out

bk..would love to hear about it

Im still leaning towards 1 tv.. everytime I mention 2 to someone they either repeat what I say in surprise "2 tv's!" or they get that look on their face like its too much

I know its unusual but thats kind of what I was thinking. It might be too much so im asking people to see how they feel about it for a balanced view on the whole ordeal. I know its my room and all, but again im just thinking. Been watching too much Diy

I actually got the idea when my wife rented a game truck for me on my birthday this year

Just buy the game truck and park it in your driveway. Problem solved.

                        Heck of an idea lol

Another thing we looked at appliances

Its ridiculous how much maintenance a washer and dryer (front load) has so that it wont stink or mold up. I just refuse to do it

Also I thought they had the package deals sort of like what Best buy used to advertise... you guys know of any out there in particular?

We just replaced all of our kitchen appliances. I don't remember any package deals, but Fry's had some great deals on refrigorators and ranges/ovens.

We went to Fry's but since its only one local, they arent big enough to hold appliances...went there this weekend too.

Yea man it sucked pretty bad lol. I did find a 40 gallon at Home Depot for $339, they want $230 for installation. I am going to pass on that and just install it myself.

Nothing worse than having ANOTHER project thrown into your lap, but its like the say. Nothing ever breaks when you want it to!
